Friendly staff; clean; excellent location close to several main attractions of Hamburg harbor; tons of restaurants right around the corner(s); comfortable bed, very good breakfast; easily reachable by public transport.
Room on the small side, with suboptimal layout (e.g. how the TV was positioned); parking would have been quite an issue if I;d come by car.

Lovely hotel right near the canal area in a perfect location. We could walk to almost everywhere. Just a wee bit tricky dragging bags up the first flight of stairs at the entrance, but after that it was all "plain sailing". So many cafes right outside the door and a fan in the room made it even more comfortable. We had the Captains (mid level) room

No ventilation and no air conditioning. Terrible in summer time!
