The location is good and within an easy 150 m of the closest metro station. The room and bathroom although a little tired were completely acceptable for the price and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. The breakfast is truly excellent with an exceptionally wide selection of food both hot and cold to suit all tastes. As you cannot drink the tap water in Beijing, 6 x 350 ml of bottled water were replenished by the cleaning staff each day. Complimentary coffee and tee sachets were provided at the rooms tea station and were replenished each day.
We had a room with an inter-leading door and the people in the room next door were very load waking us up whenever they came back at night. These inter-leading doors should be soundproofed because even when they spoke normally in the room next door we could hear virtually every word. I would suggest that you book a room without such a door !

Spacious room with nice view for the busy street. Air conditioning working good. It’s an elegant hotel with a history. Great breakfast buffet. Pool was small but sufficient. Sauna was not always on, gym well equipped. Personal trainers, swimming instructors super friendly. Reception, management and house keeping staff- helpful and always available. Location is too, close to metro, shops and attractions. Totally recommend. Great value for the price.

Great location. Doorman and check in staff very friendly.
Very old, rundown bathrooms. Beds incredibly uncomfortable and small. Pool is constantly being used for swimming lessons by community members so our kids weren’t able to really use it. No chairs or anywhere to sit near pool to watch kids
