Very Unique which made for a very memorable experience for adults and children.

We had 4 large families getting together for grandmother's birthday. It was fantastic! Well supplied kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms. gas grill was a plus. We spent most of our time by the outdoor firepit because it was cold, but will return in warmer weather to enjoy the lake. I would say that the bunk house is more detached than we thought from the pictures, so those planning for kids to sleep there without adult supervision need to plan accordingly.

In 2019 I planned a July 2020 family reunion for my mom’s 80th birthday. The pandemic forced postponing twice, but we finally made it. Barnwood Lodge was just wonderful. Such a beautiful place with rustic charm and all the needed conveniences. We looked to this for long and we’re not disappointed. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place and my family does too. And the owner was pleasant and accommodating for everything. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Our family was blessed to enjoy your wonderful home and property. We made memories kayaking, canoeing, swimming, playing games, roasting Smores, eating and catching up with each other. Our young children now have lasting memories and relationships with their cousins. The best thing of all was the comfort of this beautiful home for meals, entertainment and rest. All was excellent!

We brought our resident year long student staff (college age students) plus 3 families and 2 other staff for a total of 22 people for a weekend away. This house was perfect for us to gather and retreat! The bedroom arrangements worked well for our group.

This was a very neat experience. The cabin was unique in design. Everyone enjoyed looking around at all of the extra ordinary decorative items and the different designs. We had plenty of room. The information packet was very easy to understand, and we had everything we needed. It was overall a very enjoyable weekend. The owners were also easy to work with and very accommodating.

We took our church youth group for a week. The students absolutely loved the house and had a blast. They were never board with the water activities and just enjoying being in the house. There are plenty of board/ card games in the house along with kayaks and we rented a pontoon boat to go out on the water. They fished off the dock and made memories they’ll never forget. We definitely recommend this place 100%!

Nice location. Just 15 minutes from town. Our family had a great time. Karen kept us informed about events taking place during our stay. Fishing was great. Cabin is sitting on a great bass fishing lake. Loved the old frontier log home feel. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great log home stay.

The lodge is perfect for family reunions, retreats, or just relaxing. Was all we had hoped for.

We really enjoyed our stay. This is a beautiful home with the neatest details. I hated to leave it and go back home! Would definitely stay here again.

Amazing retreat!! My husband and I had planned a Christmas at this cabin for our family and extended family! A month before Christmas, our brother in law was lost in a tragic accident. Although a very sad time, his family was still able to come together and spend a day with us . We laughed, shared memories, shared a meal and loved on them! We spend a week, December 22-December 29, 2017, and it was just so relaxing, peaceful, spacious..and so much more. The owner, Karen Tillery, was such a joy to work with. She has thought of everything that you would need and has filled her cabin with comfortable beds and linens! The bunk house was perfect for our teen age grandchildren and nephews. They enjoyed the paddle boats to fish. It was also enjoyed by the adults. In fact, our sons talked of building one on their property for their children and friends to hangout! I would recommend Barn Wood Lodge Cabin for anyone needing a lot of space. The property has something for all ages. There are board games, cards, dvd's, horse shoes, and lots of rocking chairs on the many different porches, to relax, enjoy the view, read or visit with friends and family! You will not be disappointed. The hard part is having to leave! But there's always next year!!thank you Karen for opening up your cabin to our family!

We had six families stay at the Barnwood Lodge for the weekend. There are both great gathering spaces and remote bedrooms to accommodate.

We where down for our Granddaughter wedding. it was a perfect weekend. The house was amazing. My grandsons said Mimi this is the best vacation of all our places we have stayed. we've rented houses in Gatlinburg, Beach house and many more. The bath rooms where a little dark to get dressed for a wedding , but would not have been a problem for a normal vacation. I would absolutely go back. Cotten Family

We had extended family in town for a wedding and this house was perfect for us. On arriving everyone spent awhile just walking through the house and remarking on the creative way it’s decorated. On the Friday night we arrived, we were having trouble with the air conditioning in the third floor bedroom and Mrs. Tillery drove from her home with a portable air conditioner, called her electrician, and stayed there until everything was fixed. We really appreciated her prompt response to the situation. I would definitely stay here or in one of her other properties if we’re in that area again!

We held a church retreat at this Barnwood cabin and we were completely blown away. The cabin and grounds are absolutely gorgeous and our time there was wonderful. The cabin and bunkhouse are very spacious, the beds were comfortable, and we had everything we could have wanted for a relaxing weekend away. Karen Tillery's attention to detail and eye for authenticity was every where we looked. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone who wants to get away but still have all the amenities you could desire!

We had enough room for all members of our family. The kids thoroughly enjoyed having their own cabin(the Bunkhouse). I think the adults enjoyed that more! 😁 Thank you to the Tillery family for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lakeside lodge. We are looking forward to making this an annual event.

Siblings and spouses had a wonderful 3 day retreat at the Barnwood Lodge. We laughed, ate great food and remembered our family times. The BL made us feel as comfortable as if we were in our own home - 13 of us under one roof. Amazing time together!

The house is in great shape! The accommodations are wonderful. It was a peaceful and quiet get away.

5 families shared this place for Labor Day weekend for the second year in a row. We plan to keep doing it again and again! Absolutely beautiful place. The bunkhouse is really neat for the kids.

The most relaxing weekend we have all had in a long time.
