Not restful or good for stop over.

Rooms run down, black out curtains do not black out, one too short and did not close in middle. Complained to management that we didn’t sleep well, offered an hour extra in hotel - not a room I wanted to stay in longer - We chose hotel due to proximity to airport and that it listed black out blinds. Also nobody answered phone once in room.

Check in and out was really efficient. Restaurant was very good.

No bottled water. No robes in the room.

Village Hotel, Changi

The roof top pool was lovely! By the river/ sea where there are otters. Handy for Changi Gaol museum and chapel which was excellent. There is a free airport shuttle bus that runs mornings and evenings. Loads of street food options are very close, plus Civil Service club opposite (open to public). Also an Irish pub!

It needs a lot of paint to make it fresh. It is by the water so must be hard to maintain but it needs attention.

Bizarre stay where we were made to feel actively unwelcome in Village Hotel

The beds were comfortable.

The staff were quite rude and unhelpful on entry. It seemed like no one wanted us to be there. We tried calling multiple times to get to the free shuttle from the airport and no one would answer the phone. When we arrived, 4-5 staff were sitting around not doing anything. The area wasn’t very close to the airport at all despite Booking.com saying it was close to airport accommodation. The shuttle times were not available to be seen online, except for one that said it was from Terminal 2 of Changi at a range of times. When we got to the hotel, the shuttle left from Terminal 1 and 3 at significantly less times than this but no idea how we were meant to access this information as communication with the hotel was impossible. The vibe was very sterile in the hotel and no one talked to anyone and everyone walked around the halls in silence.

Very glad it was only short visit and didn’t have to actually stay night there.

Rude and unhelpful reception staff, especially one lady. Couldn’t care less, short sharp answers. No smiles.

Not as advertised.

View from Rooftop pool. The porter was the only friendly and helpful member of staff. Very glad we only used hotel as short stay (8 hours) between flights.

Where do i start? Rude and unhelpful front desk staff. Don't know what Customer Service means. Both Restaurants and bar closed for orders even though advertising in elevator what great things were available. We were literally pushed out the door as they were having a function and didn't want hotel guests to be served. Decor is old and peeling paint. Damp odor in hallways. Courtyard view is appalling of old paint and stained walls. Huge tour group were the priority and not individual bookings.

Excellent stay, would stay again.

Exceptional staff who went out of their way to help us with whatever we needed. Clean and comfortable room, larger than anywhere we had stayed on our trip, and a large bathroom as well. One of the only places that still provide soap and shower caps!! A bus service out the front which goes to a railway station, then train to the city. Coffee and tea in the room, but only powdered milk, so bring your own.

A long way from the airport, which we didn't realise when we booked, but they did provide a shuttle bus, which we used on our departure. We weren't aware of this when we arrived and had to pay for a taxi. No coffee or tea facilities in the foyer area.

Nice hotel

sadly only a short stopover so didnt have a chance to enjoy it more..the pool look amazing.. nice room ,comfortable bed and good shower pressure and very quiet over looking park. wifi worked great.. lots of open air food halls and restaurants 5 mins walk from hotel.

went all the way to room at far corner and nothing in room about wifi . .. so rang reception and guy explained it to me,should of been done with the lady who checked me in. As with most Singapore hotels was far overpriced and not even including breakfast . shuttle bus to airport only goes to and from terminal 1 and 3 when there is 4 terminals. and quite a gap on pickup if u miss one time slot

Avoid at all costs.

Breakfast ok

No restaurant after breakfast. Room too cold air conditioner did not adjust. Room was not made up until later in afternoon. No information sent for shuttle bus from airport I took a taxi.

Not a pleasant experience for a regular guest like me.

Much better WiFi connection compared to previous stays

No sofa for deluxe room which was in the picture. Have stayed a few times before and the rooms were never without sofa. This caused inconvenience to us as we need to sit down for a drink etc. One of the front desk staff during check in was loud and unfriendly. Seen mosquitoes flying in the room and have gotten a few bites as a result. Such a disappointment during this stay.

A good stopover hotel in Singapore.

The staff at check in were very welcoming and helpful. Our room was great with views over the water. The ease of getting to the airport is a major benefit of this hotel.

distanza dall'aeroporto (terminal 3 all'andata, 1 al ritorno) di circa 30 minuti di taxi: molto piu del dichiarato. La navetta è disponibile dalle 8.00 di mattina: il nostro volo partiva alle 9:20 quindi non abbiamo potuto usarla. Abbiamo scelto questo hotel perchè publicizzato come vicinissimo all'aeroporto, ma non è cosi'! La struttura è basic, trascurata nella manutenzione e poco pulita. L'area piscina non è accogliente. I dintorni sono privi di interesse; la spiaggia è vicina ma non praticabile, perchè l'acqua è sporca e il parco squallido.

Great location and value for money

Rooms were spacious and had everything according to the listing. Location was great with lots of cafes nearby too; do check out Little Island Brewery and Chock Full of Beans. Good value for money as well.

Albeit functional some things showed signs of wear and tear, bed was creaky and tub has minor chips. Still manageable and satisfactory as a rest stop though.

One night stay end of Sept 23

The location is the most attractive point for us, close to the Changi Village food market making for quick & cheap local meals. Taxis to & from the hotel are easy to get. Beds are comfortable. Average wifi, drops out a lot.

This is our 2nd stay in 9 weeks & we found our room to be sub standard on this occasion. We stayed on the 7th floor room 738. The room had a sliding door to a small balcony which was not sound proof at all. We could hear planes all night & also a motor turning on & off from a large water tank for the hotel in close proximity to this section of hotel. The bar fridges in the hotel rooms are useless & do not keep anything cool, time to upgrade your bar fridges.

Quiet location for a stop over

Close to the beach and local food markets. Quiet location.

Bath leaked due to rust around the plug hole. Toilets in gym and upper pool area didn’t flush.

Overpriced hotel

Large and comfortable room. Hawkers Food market virtually next door.

Vastly overpriced mainly due to what was NOT offered. No airport shuttle - despite me finding info online saying there was, breakfast (expensive) not on room rate, no cafe, no restaurant, room not serviced til mid afternoon. Cannot recommend.

Close to Airport, very nice front desk, food conveniences outside the hotel, decent TV channels, happy having an iron and ironing board.

The blackout curtain literally fell down when I tried to close it and does not block all light. I tried to resolve this myself as it was late, and I had an early departure flight.

friendly staff and clean room located near plenty of food options and a mini 7 eleven clean pool and outdoor area

the property does not have international plugs in their room and do not hire them when needing to find a place to buy one my 7 year old and I were walking around for 45 mins in and out of every ‘cheap’ shop until we finally found one in a shop called save money (I think) the hotel couldn’t tell me where to buy one or if one was available in the area which is frustrating as I used this hotel for a delayed flight / stopover also be prepared to spend anywhere from 20-40 mins to access this hotel from the airport as we travelled around 3 pm and were stuck in traffic for almost 40 mins so makes it almost worth getting an airport hotel I booked an early morning taxi pick up at 315 am with hotel reception and they didn’t do the booking which was very frustrating so I’m lucky I double checked when I checked out or I would have been sitting there waiting for a taxi that never came
