We absolutely loved this place and would 100% stay here again. The view is beautiful, the atmosphere is so much fun, and the family dinners downstairs are unlike anything else. Dinner feels very social and welcoming, and afterward they do games, karaoke, and dancing. Our kids loved it and were always made to feel included, which meant a lot to us.
Steve was wonderful and really helped make the stay a great experience. I would highly recommend this place for solo travelers because it would be such an easy place to meet people, but it was also great for our family.
The only thing I would personally change is that I would not book the tent again, especially for a longer stay. The view from it was amazing, but it was extremely hot. There is AC inside, but during our stay it just could not keep the tent cool enough to be comfortable. For one or two nights I could probably handle it, but we stayed for a full week and I really wished we had booked one of the regular rooms instead, where the AC could keep up better. I would absolutely stay at Life’s A Beach again — I would just choose a different room type next time.

We came to Life’s a Beach 9 years ago as backpackers. Now we came back with our kids. The site has changed a little but absolutely not the amazing vibe. We loved every second of our time there. Back in another 9 years!! The boat trip to Monkey Island was amazing, recommend!

The structure is amazing! The dorm is clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the facilities are excellent. The staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. You get a beautiful view, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the sunrise is absolutely spectacular. I would definitely recommend staying here!
On the one hand, it’s wonderful that the property is tucked away on a wild, unspoiled stretch of coastline. On the other hand, if you enjoy exploring and don’t want to spend your entire stay in one place, you’ll definitely need to rent a motorbike, as there are no buses to the city or the nearby fishing villages.
You can rent a motorbike directly through the property, but if you’re travelling light, I’d recommend renting one as soon as you arrive in Quy Nhon before heading to Life’s a Beach. You’ll get a much better rate, and you won’t have to worry about arranging an expensive taxi back to the airport or bus/train station at the end of your stay. It can also be difficult to find Grab drivers in the area, so having your own bike makes getting around much easier.
