The host of the apartment is very helpful and welcoming giving also some information where to eat typical Portuguese plates.
This is a suggestion not a critical point to have a light bulb near bed is very helpful to read a book during the night without disturb the friend in the bed beside

We really enjoyed our stay at Taipas Apartments. The location was excellent and a great base for exploring Porto. The apartment had everything we needed for our week and we were very happy with our stay overall. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Porto.
The only thing I would mention is the noise from the apartment above us. There was a child running the full length of the apartment particularly early in the morning from around 6:30/7:00am onwards, and because the floors seem to be quite thin, the sound travelled very clearly.
It didn't bother us too much as we are early risers anyway, but for someone hoping for a quiet, relaxing morning or a lie-in, I could imagine it being a little frustrating.
This isn't meant as a negative review at all, as we genuinely enjoyed our stay. It's more something we thought would be useful to mention to management. Perhaps the level of soundproofing/noise between apartments could be mentioned in the information for guests, as I imagine it may apply to other rooms as well.

Slightly small. However for the price we paid and we did not spend much time in the apartment

The property was in an excellent location. The rooms were very good. Taxis were organised and all worked perfectly.
The stairs need a bannister - it was very difficult for an older person to safely walk down them.
