Perfect getaway mountain log cabin on flat lot in middle of Plott Balsams, located on secluded 5 acres in Sylva Vista subdivision. 2/bedrooms and 1/bath with cathedral ceilings and a beautiful electric fireplace. Oak hardwood floors throughout. Covered front porch with rocking chairs and glider rocker. Elevation 3600' with outstanding mountain view! Plenty of hiking trails around the cabin. Our area has all the charm you seek when visiting the Western Carolina mountains and many exciting areas within a short distance to explore, such as Asheville, Maggie Valley, Cherokee Indian Reservation, Harrah's Casino, Gatlinburg, Great Smoky National Park and Western Carolina University. All are within an hours driving distance from the cabin. You will be totally relaxed at this cabin in the woods! You can't help but be calm and peaceful once you arrive and sit on the covered front porch with rocking chairs and amazing views! Tranquility begins at this log cabin.

We came to the cabin to celebrate my husband’s birthday. The cabin was cozy and peaceful. We enjoyed watching the snow fall…just beautiful. We will be returning!

This cabin exceeded my expectations. The pictures don't do it justice. It checked off all our boxes- super cozy, clean, comfortable, well-stocked, wood-burning fireplace, and secluded. It was remote enough where you are surrounded by nature, yet close enough to the city.
The view from the main bedroom was amazing--it looks out on to the mountains and the sunrise. We would open the blinds and sit in bed just to admire the sun rising over the mountains.
The front porch was very welcoming. Even in the cold, it was nice sitting outside on the front porch with a cup of coffee, seeing and listening to all the songbirds.
The cabin was super well-stocked and had everything we needed to cook meals in kitchen.
Also, the bed in the main bedroom and couch in the living room were super comfortable.
Lisa, the owner, was very helpful with giving us details on how to check in and get to the cabin and answering any questions we had.
We loved spending Christmas at the cabin, making hot chocolate, and sitting by the wood-burning fireplace.
This cabin was a gem.

We enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and quiet neighborhood in the mountains. Cabin was very comfortable. The front porch had a great view and we saw wild turkeys up close. Highly recommend this cabin. The host were great about communication.

This cabin checked all the boxes and more. Located in the peaceful and serene mountains….a great place to chill and enjoy the quiet. It was obvious Lisa wants to make sure her guests have everything they need for an enjoyable stay. So many amenities..just what you need in a home away from home. Thank you! The cabin was a home away from home, having many extras that came in handy. We were lucky to have picked the perfect fall week and the view from the front porch was absolutely amazing with all the beautiful fall colors.
Check in was very easy and the owner was very attentive and gave us plenty of ideas of places to visit and restaurants we might enjoy.
Location was central to everything - Bryson City, Cherokee, Maggie Valley and the park were just a short drive away. However, to experience the best of the mountains, all you had to do was step out onto the front porch and take a look around.
We had fun watching the turkeys and even got to see them fan their feathers at the T-Rex - pretty funny.
As far as driving the mountain road, our Rav4 had no problem on the road whatsoever.
Great Cabin and can't wait to come back!

Beautiful cabin inside and out! Host was great, very good communicator and accommodating! The cabin is cozy and feels like home away from home! We were visited by a group of turkeys every day and we could watch them from front porch! Very peaceful, and we loved the quiet! Outdoor campfire was great in the evenings! I will come back to this cabin!

Great location near WCU with beautiful view of Balsam mountain..enjoyed seeing the fog rise from the valley each morning while the wild turkeys came to visit...cabin was perfect for my wife and I.. cabin had so many things we often forget to take on vacation , for instance plastic storage bags and great assortment of spices for cooking..enjoyed the cool air at night without the a/c on!!

Cozy, rustic cabin. Out favorite thing about our stay was to walk down the drive and identify all of the wonderful native medicinal plants that are growing right there - a whole natural pharmacy! Thank you for sharing your cabin with us.

The cabin was very cozy and roomy. There were 3 wild turkeys that showed up each day and were neat to watch.
View was spectacular on top of mountain and drive to house was steep but manageable.
Host kept in touch of any needs.
Recommend to all who love mountains!!!

The front porch was a relaxing pleasure. We spent the majority of our time there enjoying God's breathtaking creation. We would have appreciated a broom and dust pan for general clean up after ourselves. We overlooked there not being a washer and dryer; had to go to laundromat. Cleanliness was a little below the B+ level. Overall, very relaxing.

We loved the cabin and the location. However, our stay was cut short from 1 week to 2 days due to a family emergency. Wish we could have stayed the entire week.

This cabin was just as described and more. The owners thought of everything. The view is amazing, both day and evening. Clean, comfortable and just like home, but better. Exactly what we were looking for!! We are planning our next get away and hope to be able to stay here again.

The perfect secluded cabin for a honeymoon! It was a wonderful place to homebase for trips around the Smokies. For many meals we stayed in and cooked using the kitchen that is well stocked with pots and pans and dishes. The cabin has a relaxing front porch overlooking the mountains. The owners supply feed to give the turkeys that come to visit.
The only downside that the owner is upfront about is that the Internet is sloowwww... You're on vacation, get off the computer!!!! Seriously, you may consider bringing a DVD or two to watch a favorite movie in your downtime as streaming will not be a viable option.
Lisa (owner) is very easy to communicate with and has been doing this for quite a while and it shows in the attention to detail she and her husband have given to the cabin to include helpful guides and instructions placed in the cabin.
We plan on returning as we have the opportunity to do so. My wife and I highly recommend!

The is a beautiful cabin located high up on the mountain. We thought it may be difficult to get to but the road is well maintained and even our daughter’s Chevy Cruze had no problem reaching it. We enjoyed grilling, relaxing by the fire pit, and feeding the wild turkeys. Would definitely recommend this place and we plan to stay here again. Great communication from the owners.

We enjoyed our visit the most of all the places we stayed at this trip. The view was amazing, the bed we slept in was very comfortable and the host was wonderful leaving us corn to feed the turkeys that visited us daily. We highly recommend this property and hope to come back again.

We enjoyed the quiet cabin in the woods. Loved feeding the turkeys, They let you know it's feeding time in the morning!
The king bed was comfortable. The kitchen was sufficient for making a simple meal.
We have a truck so getting to the cabin was no issue but I wouldn't wanted to take my car with low profile tires up the dirt part of the road but that's just me.

This was our second time staying at this cabin and we love getting to visit. It's a beautiful cabin set in a beautiful location. Always clean and cozy. The owners are great to work with, including their willingness to work with us when a scheduling conflict arose. We look forward to being able to stay here, again.

We greatly enjoyed the quiet, peaceful location of this well-supplied cabin with such a beautiful view of the mountains. We spend a good share of our time on the front porch and also enjoyed the fireplace in the evenings. Deer stopped by and ate the corn we had put out for the turkeys. And although we didn't see the turkeys, we did hear them gobbling in the nearby woods! Great place to get away!

The weekend was amazing. The property was just as described. We really enjoyed the fireplace and coziness of the cabin and the surrounding town, 10 minutes away, was a quaint, romantic brewery town. We loved it all. Lisa is an A+ communicator. Thank you. We will stay again.

We stayed in your beautiful cabin 2 years ago and loved it so much that we returned again this year! It truly is a little piece of heaven with stunning views and all the amenities of home! Love sitting down by the fire pit in the evening and then enjoying a warm fire in the fireplace at night. Truly a wonderful place to unwind and relax! We enjoyed every minute and hope to be back again next year!

This cabin is a wonderful experience and the owners could not have been more helpful. The mountain view from the front porch is magical! combine that with a warm woodburning stove, comfortable furnishings makes you never want to leave! Must visit this unique cabin!!

We had a mini vacation for my husband's 60th birthday. We absolutely loved the cabin, especially the fireplace and the whole atmosphere with the view from the front porch it was an amazing view, even feeding the turkeys was fun! It was everything that we thought it would be. Lisa was very helpful with everything including suggesting places to eat in the area. We would love to visit again.
