The cabin was exactly as advertised—nice, clean, well-equipped. Directions were clear and the location was ideal for visiting Promised Land park. The cabin was nicely decorated with a bear motif and the smart TV was a welcome addition. We had a very nice stay and would definitely go back.

Nice little home, we parked our boat there, the boat and trailer is 20ft and we hit both promised land and lake Wallenpaupack. Jon was very helpful and we would use again.

Always very comfortable and relaxing that’s why we have used this cabin for about five years.It’s convenient to a lot of lakes and hiking trails.A nice place to run away from all the noise

The cabin is equipped with the essentials and all you need for a great stay! Wonderful communication with the host, easy check in/out process. The black bear theme adds to the cabin feel and it's a great location to various hiking trails!

We enjoyed our stay here! The cabin is cozy and has everything you need, including a beautiful propane stove. We had a lot of rain, so spending time inside cooking and being together meant we took advantage of this nice place. Thank you!

Was great place to clear my head

Quiet cozy spot that the Mrs and I really enjoyed. Close to several hiking trails and close enough to find a couple places to eat, but still secluded enough for some privacy. House was clean and communication was good. Also happy that there was wifi and a tv for when we were tired out from hiking. Would rent from again.

I have stayed here several times. It's perfect for our hunting trip. We will definitely return.

The cabin is so nice and cozy, we felt at home and enjoyed hiking in the area directly from the cabin.

My husband and I booked this cabin for the weekend (with our dog!) The cabin itself is super cute and cozy. The only complaint we had is that we thought the cabin would have been a bit more secluded than it turned out to be. The neighboring houses/cabins are very close but thankfully it was a quiet area.

Enjoyed our stay at your clean, comfortable and cozy cabin. Unfortunately we only got one very brief look at the local bear! Maybe next time ....

Had a lovely fall weekend - staying at the black bear cabin which was in a great location to enjoy all that the promised land state park has to offer. Cabin was more spacious than anticipated and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Weather cooperated too. We will be back.

This is our 4th stay. Always great. Propane stove kept us warm during our coldest October visit yet. Love the new mattress in the master bedroom and the new shower head!! Thank you so much!

We had an excellent time at this property! Prior to our arrival, communication with Jon was great. He was quick to answer any questions and make recommendations. The house is nice and clean, and the bear decor adds to the cute coziness. The backyard is calming and relaxing - we loved seeing the frogs in the pond! I would definitely recommend this for a stay - and the location is perfect - you can walk to hiking trails and there are good places to eat and hang out so close by. Thank you!!!

Cozy little cabin in a very mixed neighborhood.

We loved this bear cottage! Loved the bear decor and the cozy feel. Just the right size for us with all the necessary provisions. It was a perfect fit for my husband and I and our two dogs. Very clean. Jon, the owner, made himself accessible and he was hospitable to us. We loved it! Thank you! Only regret is we didn't see any actual bears while we were there. 😉

Peaceful and quiet cabin to relax and sit outside and listen to frog pond, watch deer and chickens stroll by, and this time we spotted a few bears. 2nd stay and we will be back again.

This cabin was perfect for our weekend getaway. There were plenty of places to walk our dogs. The property was clean and well maintained. I am hoping to come back next year!

We had a great time it was myself,my wife and our 7 yr old son! We all had a great time our son really loved the little visits with the chickens and ducks! We also loved sitting outside on the back deck it was very peaceful We will definitely be back to visit again

Everything was perfect !! The deck overlooking the frog pond was very relaxing !! Cabin was very clean and had plenty of towels, cookware and other amenities !! Beary cute decor-but we didn't see any real bears !!!!!!!! We had a wonderful stay at this cabin !! A lounge chair on the deck would be a nice addition!! We would highly recommend this cabin if you need some peace and quiet time !!!!!!!

The property was located right next to Promised Land State Park in a very rural area of PA. Perfect for 2 -4 people. Had everything we needed for our stay. There is a bar/restaurant across the road to get a bite. (The bar allows smoking FYI)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin. Pictures and description were accurate to what we found when we arrived. The kitchen was well-equipped with the basics we needed (coffee maker, toaster, pots and pans, utensils, dishes, etc). The bed was very comfy; sheets and towels provided. The internet was reliable; no dropped service that we noticed. The back deck was a great place for morning coffee or evening dinner, listening to the frogs, watching the ducks come and go. We did notice a minor issue, that we reported to the host around 10 pm our first night, just to make him aware of it. He responded immediately that he would take care of it after our stay. Like I said, it was a minor issue and did not impact our stay. The cabin is located within easy walking distance to Promised Land's Boundary Trail, which we hiked to get to other trails. After our hikes, we were able to come back and relax at the cabin. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Cabin and would definitely return!

Very neat, comfortable and nicely decorated

This is our 3rd time staying at this property. Always a great time. The owner, Jon, is easy to get in touch with and communication is always great. Many things to do in the area. We took our kids to the lake, on hikes, kayaking. At night we sat around the fire and made s’mores. They loved seeing all the beautiful chickens/roosters running around.

Nice quiet relaxing space for a family to enjoy a weekend get away! We will be back again :)

Property is well maintained location is perfect for day trips exploring the local area and waterfalls. House is stocked well only issue is you have to haul off your own trash. Finally found a place about an hour after we left, nice smell in car. Other than that this property is very nice.
