Amazing stay! The location is amazing and allows us to explore the Great Wall without crowds. The hosts were extremely welcoming and kind, helping us and giving advice on where to visit. Amazing food cooked by the hosts with vegetables from their garden, which made it very fresh and tasty. One of the bests stays of my trip. I definitely would recommend to anyone wishing to visit the great wall!

If you are looking for an authentic place, with amazing food, great pool, lovely quiet village and within walking distance of a beautiful unrestored section of the great wall, then look no further! Cheng Cheng really looked after us, what a lovely host. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Angela and their kids as they were in Beijing for the week for school. We loved this place, also there was 2 more rooms booked at the same time with some lovely people we connected with. My 13 and 15 year old absolutely LOVED it here! The adorable kittens were a great bonus and got cuddles all day long from us.
This section of the great wall doesn’t receive hardly any tourists, we only ever saw 1 touring bus in the huuuge empty parking lot. And a handful of people, if any. The entrance is so close, you can just nip up there in 15 min for sunrise or sunset, whatever you like. I really didn’t want to do the beijing day trip with thousands of tourists, I am so happy we found this place!
We didn’t get to meet Angela and their kids. She was so kind and helpful getting is there. She can even speak some English.
