About this house rental
This new (built in 2019) three bedroom, two bath home with many new amenities and a wood burning stove sleeps up to nine people (max 8 adults) with the pull out sofa. Less than one mile from the base lodge of Ski Windham and a half mile north of Main St., this home provides scenic views and the perfect place to stay for your getaway any season of the year. Ideal for a quiet vacation with your family. The spacious 12'x20' elevated deck faces The Ski Windham slopes. In the winter season, we are minutes from the slopes and the wood burning stove makes for cozy evenings after a day of skiing or snowboarding. In warmer weather, go hiking at many nearby trails, or swim in scenic lakes. Back at the house, bbq in the picnic area and enjoy dinner on the deck, followed by roasting marshmallows for s'mores in the fire pit. Be sure to download the star map tracker app to show the kids the constellations in the night sky! Located on 3 acres, there is plenty of room to explore behind the home. However, since there are neighbors nearby, we do not allow large gatherings or excessive outdoor music/noise. We are not interested in renting to young adults looking to party. The exterior of the house is monitored with a security camera system for both our protection and yours. Fines for non-compliance will be assessed.

We were very satisfied with the outreach and check-in process. The home is clean and inviting. We were very comfortable as a family of 3 (although we initially had planned for another small family to join us). The communication with owners was excellent!

We got to the house late at night but it was easy to find. The house is clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed staying there and it is very close to Windham ski mountain and also not far from Hunter. Will book this place again if we come back.

The house was awesome. Every detail has been thought through. Our only hiccup was during check - we did not fully understand that the house was at the back of the property. Since we arrived when it was dark, more detail about exactly where the house is located would have been helpful. Google maps was not very precise. Overall loved our stay.

Extremely nice and comfortable home. Had everything you would need to make home cooked meals and more. The beds and sofas were very comfortable and the open concept kitchen/dining/living room made the home feel spacious yet cozy. We rented this house for a ski trip wknd for my son's 21st bday and it went superbly well. Windham Mountain is just minutes away, and exploring the small local businesses that were a few stops away, was a perfect way to pass the time. I would advise people who plan on skiing at Windham Mntn on the weekend to get there early because the parking situation is exhausting. Of course, I visited during one of the big snowstorms, so that also added to the craziness of finding parking) Overall, the stay was wonderful and I would definitely book this rental again.

Visited for a ski weekend with friends and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Short drive to the mountain, and an even shorter drive to the main drag of town. The house was well stocked with every cooking utensil you could ever need, and the place was warm and cozy after a day on the slopes.

For our family of 4 this house was wonderful and could very comfortably accomodate more people. We loved that the house felt new, was very clean, very comfortable and had everything we needed. The rooms are spacious and the kitchen was very well stocked. The drive to Windham mountain is less than 5 minutes away, restaurants are 2 minutes away so this is a great house to stay at for a ski weekend. We enjoyed it so much that we booked another weekend for this season.

This house was perfect for our family and friends. It’s literally 5 min from Windham. The owners had nice touches and truly felt like a home away from home. Beds were super comfortable. My husband and I had the queen bed room. Our friends had the king room. Bc house was so close when our son got hurt skiing he was able to rest at the house with my husband and was way to drop the rest of off and pick up.

The house is great! The kitchen appliances are up to date, and it's well stocked with all the pots, pans, and utensils that you need. The dining area / living room set up is open with a giant smart TV with Netflix and all the apps. There are great views of Windham Mountain from through the sliding glass doors and from the deck.
The beds are comfortable. We found that the main bedroom/bath will get very warm if the vents are left fully open, but closing them about 90% balances the temperature with the rest of the house.
The house is walking distance to Main St, but Mitchell Hollow Road lacks a sidewalk and can be a little busy (so wear something reflective after dark). The driveway was plowed, and the heated stairs are a really nice touch.

Great Home
This is the perfect Home to Stay if visiting Windham!! Home is even better than pictures show. Very clean has everything you could possibly need!!
Owner's are extremely accommodating and will respond very quickly to any questions you could possibly have!! Would definitely stay again when visiting Windham!!!!

A Perfect Getaway!
We had the most wonderful stay at Steven and Janet's home in Windham. From the time of booking through checkout, communication with our hosts was easy and pleasant. The place was even better than described. Although we were attracted to the pictures on VRBO, the place was in fact much nicer in person. It's very clean, comfortable and was fully stocked with everything we needed to have an enjoyable stay. The location couldn't be beat either - less than 5 minute drive to Windham Path, the stores and restaurants on Rt 23, and only about a 20 minute drive to Hunter and Tannersville. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again someday!

We rented this property with our kids for ski season. Great location, 5 mins drive to Windham Mtn. Cozy, comfortable, clean, tidy, uncluttered home, with everything you need. Well stocked kitchen. Really nice and communicative owners. Great all around.

The lawn was also rugged and not cut which made us more nervous about ticks, but we still enjoyed our stay and would choose this location again.

Our family loved our stay at Windham. This home has a cozy vibe to it and it is very clean. It has great amenities and is convenient for families with kids. Janet and Steve were very prompt with answering any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Great experience
The house really allowed us to unwind and relax over a long weekend. The amenities are top notch, it was great for the kids to play out in the yard. House is built for comfort and has all the amenities (relatively modern too) for a perfect stay in the Catskills.
The hosts are very amenable and easy to communicate with.

Perfect skiing getaway
We rent from VRBO 3+ times a year and this property is one of the best that we hav stayed at. It is very clean, very comfortable, instant hot water, centrally located for skiing, and has updated appliances and kitchen accessories. For our group of four it was beyond perfect. The Owner was very prompt with responses to questions and we could not have asked for a better experience. We would absolutely stay at this property again in a heartbeat.

We've stayed in this home twice. It is clean and comfortable, has a beautifully appointed kitchen and everything a family with children might need. Great location close to town and five minutes from the mountain. A++

Family reunion.
Five starts all the way! Property is at the best condition you possibly would wish for. Clean, spacious and beautiful house. Everything we needed was available. My family and I enjoyed our little retreat. Will be back 100%.

Great Getaway
House was spotless and very comfortable for our group of 9. Central A/C, and a fully outfitted kitchen (with dishes, cutlery, etc.). Owners are great to deal with.
The pictures do not do justice to the size of the backyard, it's huge. We loved the fire pit, which is located a good distance from the house. This gives it a feeling of being out in the woods without having to actually go in the woods.
Just remember to bring plenty of flashlights - the walk from the house to the fire pit is long and dark, and the ground is very uneven with ruts and rocks. Just bring a flashlight and watch your step, and you'll be fine.
Overall, we had a great stay., and would gladly come back again.

Excellent property in a perfect location
Steven and Janet were amazing hosts. Communication was essentially instant. The property is conveniently located right near town and had everything we needed to cook some great meals inside and on the grill outside. The property is still like new and was incredibly clean and well kept. We will definitely book again next year for our group which consisted of two teens and 4 adults. Thanks again Steven and Janet !

Mountain getaway
We had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and cozy. Perfect for a weekend getaway . We enjoyed sitting on the porch everyday and looking at the beautiful trees! Txs for a great stay, would recommend !

The photos don't do this house justice! It is an open floor plan and larger than it may appear in the pictures. Love the floor plan.
We also really appreciated that there were no Glade plugins or fragrances overpowering the house; in fact the sheets are cleaned with All brand's Free & Clear. If you have allergies, rent without worry!
The only difficulty is the backyard -- it's not great terrain for kids under 5 or 6. We were here with a 2, 4, and 9 year old. The two youngest had trouble with the unevenness, holes, and rocky ditches. The deck has a gate which is great for kids, and enough shading to keep things cool during the day. The stairs down from the deck to the yard, however, were fairly steep for our little ones.
Given that, the house is good for families, and made for renters. Helpful signs to remind you of the rules and the big binder of town amenities came in handy. It comes with dishes for kids; and the bunk beds and Atari video gaming system are AMAZING! It was so much fun showing the 9 year old the games her parents used to play.
All in all we had a really nice weekend!
