Quite remote 20km from Quy Nhon so not much to do other than stay in their resort and read a book by the pool No options for dining anywhere nearby so you’ve captive within the resort Main restaurant was closed for renovation so we ate at ad hoc restaurant for each meal (which was quite good) Because most villas have a pool, people stay in their villas so the place feels empty and lifeless, fine if you’re looking for a private escape but it felt a little soul-less to us, lacked energy Once you walk beyond the resort itself, the beach is unfortunately littered with rubbish by locals which is disappointing but that’s common in Vietnam, not Maia’s fault

The hotel should have informed us prior to arrival about the typhoon so we would have changed our plans because all beach activities were of course closed. Hopefully we actually get to come back and enjoy the full facilities.

We had a villa for 4 people with garden and swimming pool. It was very clean and comfortable. The staff makes a deep cleaning every day when we’re not in the villa. This service is really high quality, and the staff is very efficient. We’ve found our stuff well tidied each time. The villa is really spacious and the garden with the swimming pool is really nice to enjoy. Trees around allow you to keep your privacy during your stay. We were a bit worried for that before arriving, but we were reassured about that. The bed is so much comfortable and all the equipments in the villa are really nice : shower, bathtub, coffee machine…. We took breakfast, lunch and diner in both restaurants : a lot of choice each time, very good quality products and good fact : we had 2 sets menu per day included in the price of our villa. The beach is accessible on foot close to the majority of the villas. We were there during the 2nd week of september and there were few tourists with us. So we could enjoy a lot the beach. The crew cared a lot about our security every time we went on the beach and we feel very safe. The night on the sand with the moonlight and the sound of the waves is absolutely indescribable… Bikes are available on demand or every time you find some available on the resort. Riding inside the resort is very nice, especially at night time : very few people around, fresh air riding on your bike, moonlight above you…Incredibly nice feeling Swimming in the sea: special thanks to Thanh and Nghia for their safety guard and full attention on us when we were swimming. Super professional! Spa and massage: divine!! Special thanks to Sieng, Hien and Hoa for their kind attention to make us feel as much relaxed and delighted as possible. Sieng was very patient and caring for my hair, I had a hair wash and she took time to dry my hair at Cool air, to not damage my hair!! Thank you so much Sieng.

staff making up the room were good. Buggy service good. Attentive staff in dining room. Shame these staff members have to work with such poor management.

Renovation of the reception area at peak time of the year very bad, thoughtless decision. On arrival the feeling was that this hotel is being run for the convenience of the management rather than the comfort of the customer. Very limited menus for all meals though the cooking was good. Again bad management skimping on choice to save a few dong. Staff on duty at beach area very slow and witless. They need better training. Again poor management. Serious and significant compensation for the untimely renovations, delay in checking in and power cut would have signalled better customer service and a desire to welcome customers back. Cannot understand why expensive hotels like this risk damaging their repution with slapdash approach to the customer.
