We love visiting Lexington and now we have a new favorite place to stay. This property has it all the luxuries of a modern home yet it's one of the oldest buildings in Lexington. Very cool place! The location can't be beat and the host, Mary, was very welcoming. We will definitely stay here again....and again!

Perfect spot for a long weekend, mere steps from all that Lexington has to offer! For a small town, there were so many good spots to eat. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, we especially enjoyed the balcony for our morning coffee and the fireplace on a chilly evening. We will definitely return and maybe stay longer so we can try some of the eating establishments that we didn't get to!

The owner made it easy and was highly responsive. The place was clean and well appointed and they even welcomed us with a bottle of wine and fruit. We will stay at The Castle every time we visit Lexington.

This apartment offers perfect comfort for 2 with a full living room , kitchen, patio and queen bedroom. It is within walking distance to both W &L and VMI and all downtown restaurants. Mary was an attentive and gracious hostess. It was perfect for our needs.

“The Castle” is a wonderful location when staying in Lexington. The accommodations were perfect and just as described. The communication between us and the owner was always prompt and always friendly. I would not hesitate staying here again and I would recommend “The Castle” to anyone. We have stayed in many vrbo properties and this was the cleanest one by far! The apartment is in the perfect location to walk to everything downtown. It has everything you need for comfort and convenience. We were even welcomed with a bottle of wine and snacks! Being built in the late 1700s, the Castle has been improved and updated for comfort and beauty, but the historical character of the times was preserved. We wish we could have enjoyed the cute veranda, but it was too cold in February. We actually had snow while we were there and the owner, Russ, came over twice to salt and shovel our stairs and sidewalk. Mary was also very responsive and accessible via text message. I highly recommend the Castle for a true cultural Lexington experience!

Perfect location for those loving to stay within walking distance of all Lexington has to offer. Clean, nice, comfortable, with everything you need, very quiet for sleeping, great back elevated patio overlooking a garden setting. Mary was super nice & helpful. Will definitely be back & recommend you friends!

This was our first stop on our two-week vacation. It was a way to decompress before starting our "actual" vacation. The house was lovely, and we especially enjoyed the outside space for morning coffee and evening adult beverages. It is located very centrally to the restaurants and bars and the area felt extremely safe. The house was very well-appointed, and although I did not have time to make a meal there, I am sure I could have whipped up anything in the kitchen. Communication with the hosts was excellent and checkin/access to the house was a breeze. Parking was very easy and felt very secure. Highly recommend this lovely property for a nice couples getaway. We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Charming little property with plenty of room for two. Nicely decorated with lots of little nooks and other touches. Can't beat the location. One block from restaurants. (We enjoyed TAPS at the Georges for outside dining and drinks.) Lexington was a surprising treat for a weekend getaway.

Beautiful historic property with all the necessary amenities. Escaped for a week and had a wonderful time. The owners are amazing to work with.

We were the first to reserve this property and we sincerely hope there will be many more take time to relax and restore at this beautiful property. The "Castle" is an excellent little flat in the middle of the Lexington, very quiet area and centrally located to everything within a few minutes walk. Well decorated and very comfortable sleeping area. The terrace overlooking the yard is very peaceful and relaxing. Thank you and cheers to future rentals.
