We loved our stay! The cabin was perfect! It was easy to find, great location, and so peaceful. It was so comfortable and clean. We all slept better than we have in months. The host was very accessible although we really had everything we needed. We are definitely going back!

As stated in the previous review, we had a super time. Our son from the SF Bay and daughter from Howell, MI joined my husband and I for 5 days. It was very pleasant. We enjoyed the 4 kayaks a lot too.

The house is wonderful - roomy, very well maintained and featured, and close to downtown. We were in town for the county fair and very much enjoyed our trip.

My wife and I brought our 9 month old son on this trip! The house was perfect for what we needed. The photos of the outside don’t do it justice! Beautiful/quiet lake and neighborhood. It’s a very short 8-10 min drive to Mackinac City/Mackinac Bridge. The kayaks were awesome and the blackstone grill was perfect for breakfast. Make sure to go to Harbor Lights Grille (1 min drive) for breakfast or dinner on the lake.

We had a great stay! The lake was really calm most of the time we were there so the kayaks were put to use. We also harvested some of the wild mint down by the shoreline.
Easy and quick drive to Mackinaw City, Wilderness State Park, and Headlands International Dark Sky Park - a must do activity!!
Would recommend a drying rack or a clothesline since there’s not a washer/dryer. We made do with all the chairs, though!
Definitely would like to come back. Thanks!

We actually did not get to stay at this particular location due to an unexpected issue at the property, but the property owners/manager bent over backwards to help to make sure we were well taken care of. Highly recommend any properties listed by this owner/property manager.

Wish we could have stayed longer. Love the sound of the loons. Very peaceful.

Tranquil setting. Could have just watched the ducks for days. Lake is GREAT for swimming. Washer and dryer as well as new carpet would be a huge improvement.

This cabin was very comfortable, and the neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. It was located near a lot of places we wanted to visit, and our kids loved the kayaks!

This is my family’s second time staying at this same cabin. It’s a lovely cabin, and exactly as the pictures show.

We loved the cottage, decorated nicely, beds were fantastic. Location perfect. The only drawback is there isn't a way to access the small beach because of the coastline. We had to jump or hang on to the railing and hope we didn't fall. Stairs off the side of the dock would be a huge improvement.

Great location for us to go north or south snowmobiling. The cottage is cozy and warm, very clean and well stocked with extras. Quiet area in the winter.

Great location close to airport! Lake was beautiful covered in snow! Enjoyed time with our Coastie Son and his colleagues!

Everything at the property was as expected based on the listing photos. Host was very accessible. We left an expensive set of headphones behind. Host and cleaning staff found them and promptly shipped them to us. We had great stay and enjoyed the view! Would definitely stay again.

Easy check in/out, looks like the carpet was cleaned just before we arrived. Beautiful view and only 10 minutes from the ferry to the island. The general store down the street had everything you needed and the Harbor lights grille was awesome for breakfast.

Typical older lake house that has been updated somewhat. Awesome lake views, and it’s located directly on the lake just a few steps from the house. We loved the screened in porch and back yard. A very quiet place.

Cozy cottage far enough from the crowds, but quick, easy access to the attractions. Plenty of space to spread out if needed, but several wonderful gathering areas in the cottage. Love the back porch view.

Overall, the pictures in the listing accurately described the cottage. It had the "up north Michigan" feel to it, but definitely had some room for improvement. Our family of five traveled for three nights. There was only 1.5 rolls of paper towels, 1 trash bag, and 2 rolls of toilet paper provided (on listing stated items would be provided). I would recommend bringing additional supplies for any longer stays or large groups as we did run out of them quickly. The dock to the lake was beautiful, but there were only 3 working kayaks (fourth kayak does have a leak in it). The outside hose also does not work, so there is no way to clean yourself or equipment off before heading inside.
Our biggest problem with the place was cleanliness. Upon arrival at 5pm, the cottage still had not been cleaned from the previous stay. The rental company was prompt at communication back to us and refunded part of the cleaning fee, but they said they knew about the problem since 3pm. We wish they would have communicated with us a delay in check in time so we could have made other arrangements while traveling up north to optimize our time. Once the cottage was "cleaned" and we were allowed back in at 6pm, there was still used towels left under the sink, crumbs and goldfish around the furniture from the previous stay, and dead bugs and spider webs in the corners.
Overall, the rental was in a great location near Mackinac Bridge and Lake Michigan, but high cost for rental and a cleaning fee for the quality we received.

It is a beautiful property with a beautiful view. It was a great location for our weekend get-away. We’ll be back!

Our family of four stayed at this cottage in Carp Lake and really enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and well equipped and the beds were comfortable. We made good use of the dock for our boat and took the kayaks out a few times as well. Communication with the property manager was prompt and the location was close to the things we wanted to do during our stay. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our stay in this cabin. The kids loved swimming, fishing and kayaking on the lake. The location was perfect; quiet and secluded but so close and convenient to Mackinac City. Check in and check out was simple. Thank you for the great vacation!

We had a wonderful time at the cottage. It is in a very quiet, peaceful neighborhood with awesome waterfront views right off the front porch. We loved the close proximity to Mackinaw City; just a 10 minute drive to everything the city has to offer. We swam in the lake everyday and my 3 year old grandson loved it! The kayaks are an extra bonus. We will be back the next time we are in the area.

We really loved the location of the cottage, it was near to all the attractions we were interested in. The property was exactly as advertised, it slept 4 adult comfortably and was pet friendly. My only concern was there was fishing line left in the carpet which could have been harmful to my dog.
The checkin and out process was effortless.

Kayaks available for excursions on the lake. Gas grill, picnic table and fire pit with wood for outside enjoyment. Big flat screen TV, gas fireplace, big comfy chairs and couch for indoor relaxing. Best place though is the screened-in porch overlooking the lake listening to the waves, breeze and birds. Totally loved our stay...Thank You!!

Beautiful cabin right on the lake! Immaculately clean, comfortable beds, and 4 kayaks with life jackets to use. Firewood is provided for the firepit, and there were plenty of outdoor chairs to enjoy the view. Just a short drive from Mackinaw City. We had a great time!

Very clean house! Amazingly cozy and love that it was pet friendly. Our dogs loved swimming in the lake and even though it was cold out the fire place kept the house super warm. The only complaint we could make would be that the bedrooms had worn out mattresses that were uncomfortable for two grown adults. We loved this location and look forward to potentially returning to it someday in the future
