About this house rental
Situated in Avalon, this charming house for $850 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This almost new, professionally decorated 5 bedroom, 4.5 bath three story single family home has all the bells and whistles to make this an incredible vacation retreat for everyone in the family. Built in 2019 and ideally situated close to town on a quiet street, you are just a short stroll to the beach, with peaks of the bay throughout the home. A mahogany deck and wood front door provide rich detail upon entering the home. Inside, hardwood floors run throughout all three floors as well as an incredible trim package, which includes transom windows and wainscoting with ship lap accent walls in every bedroom. The first floor boasts 9 ft ceilings and includes a junior master suite (queen bed) with private bath and access to the front deck. Two additional bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bath (1 bedroom with 2 twins and a bunk room with 3 twin beds). To the rear of the first floor sits the laundry room and a family room that overlooks the pool and cabana area. The family room has a new pull-out couch with comfy gel memory foam mattress and a deck to enjoy the backyard view. Located on the second floor is the gem of the home, a huge light filled living room with gas fireplace, multiple windows, 2 sliding doors and cathedral ceilings. The kitchen will be sure to impress with a 250 bottle subzero wine fridge, wolf range, wolf double wall oven, and french door subzero refrigerator. The kitchen is stocked with everything you would need. Large center marble island and a separate dining space comfortably seats the whole family. Off the living room is a fiberglass deck that allows for partial sun and partial shade suitable to your preference. Great views of the bay and seating for 8 with a grill perfect for evening meals. Right beyond the kitchen sits the pantry and powder room. To the rear of the second floor is the large master bedroom (king bed) equipped with ensuite bath, walk in closet and private fiberglass deck great for relaxing and viewing the backyard pool. The third floor is completely dedicated to the 2nd master bedroom (king bed) with large private bath and walk in closet. Your private fenced in backyard includes a heated pool with a cabana and plenty of seating. The cabana is equipped with a beverage center (fridge and sink), plenty of storage space and TV with electric roll down shutter. The backyard vacation oasis includes an outside shower, underground sprinklers and landscape lighting. There are several places to lounge outside with multiple seating areas by the pool and on the 4 decks. In total there are 8 TVs located in all 5 bedrooms, the family room, living room and outside cabana. The family room TV includes a gaming center (Wii U) ideal for kids. The home is equipped with 3 adult beach bikes, 1 child bike, 6 beach chairs, 1 umbrella, 1 beach caddy and plenty of beach towels. Your vacation in Avalon awaits! **In-season 7 night minimum; off-season 3 night minimum. Pool is open May 1st - mid Sept (heated Memorial - Labor Day). Linens are not provided but alternate arrangements can be made.

We rented Michelles's home for the Thanksgiving holiday and had a wonderful stay. the home is amazing -- clean, well laid out for privacy, kitchen is well stocked etc etc. Michelle replies immediately to texts and made our stay a wonderful experience.

We loved this home. Lots of spaces to hang out, several bathrooms, everything clean and nice. The pool and cabana in the back are so great, and you are close to the beach. Great location with several walkable spots, and quick drives to Stone Harbor and Cape May a little farther south. Parking is easy and plentiful. Michelle was so easy to communicate with - they’ve created a great house for families to spend time in.
One thing to note is you have to bring towels and sheets for beds; that can be tough for people flying in but we drove from northern Jersey so it wasn’t tough for us.

I rented Michelle’s property in the off season while in town for a wedding. We were a group of 9 adults and felt extremely comfortable in the house with plenty of space. The house was exactly as advertised in the photos, was clean and comfortable. We were able to walk to the beach easily, and were able to walk to bars/restaurants easily. Communication with hosts was prompt and clear. Would highly recommend !

Beautiful house, great location
Spacious and beautiful, the house is within walking distance of many restaurants and stores in Avalon. While it is closer to the bay, it is only 5 blocks from the beach. The cabana by the pool was a game changer, perfect for entertaining guests.

Amazing Stay for a Bridal Party
Thank you to Michelle for sharing her beautiful Avalon home with us. It was hands down one of the necessary homes I’ve ever stayed in. I stayed here with my (fiancé/husband) and my bridal party (7 girls, 3 spouses) for the weekend of our wedding. The layout was perfect, good for families or groups of adults as pretty much all of the bedrooms also have their own private bathroom and balcony. The house was decorated impeccably, the kitchen and living space were so functional and cozy and the bedrooms were amazing, lots of closet space, comfortable beds etc. the outdoor pool and bar were so much fun. I don’t have anything at all bad to say, we adored it and made so many memories and hope to be back again in the future for a family vacation!

Sisters Vacation
Four of five sisters were able to get away for a week's vacation the last week of September 2021 at this beautiful home in Avalon. Our fifth sister was unfortunately not able to join us and was missed dearly. The weather was spectacular. The home was very comfortable and its location very convenient to town and the bay and the beach. The backyard pool was just the perfect size to have a little fun and then dry off in the warm late September sun. Sunrise on the beach was a great way we started one day. An early morning walk for exercise throughout the town and neighborhoods was how we started each day. We would highly recommend this vacation home. The owners were very responsive to any questions we had and accommodating to any of our requests. We will definitely consider this home in the future for another "Sisters Vacation"! Thank you.

Worth the price!
This was my family’s first vacation since the pandemic hit and we are so happy we stayed here. It was also our first time in Avalon! The house has everything you need. You definitely get your money’s worth because everything in the home was high quality and convenient, Beautiful gourmet kitchen. You can tell that the owner was very thoughtful in the layout of the home because there wasn’t even a square inch of wasted space.
Every room was functional and beautiful! There are even two grills.
We loved walking to the beach. It was a short and easy stroll for us with kids. The outdoor shower was a lifesaver to wash off sand from excited kids hopping from the beach to the pool. The house is so close to so many restaurants and ice cream shops.
The owner was very responsive and sweet!
Can’t wait to come back!

I was able to discern from the guest book that mostly/only friends of the family had stayed there prior to my family (12 guests ages 5-12 and 35-65) coming from across the country for 7 days after finding the property on Vrbo. There are pros and cons. The pros include location (being located in Avalon). The kitchen had everything we needed. The place was clean and spacious. It is well decorated. One of the best things was using their umbrella and chairs for the beach. I thought it was a pro that the owners are involved in property management but turned out not so great (more on this in the cons). The home came with fishing poles to use and bikes, although in variable conditions. The cons include having to bring our own bed sheets and linens. We had to hire a local service to provide sheets which required more expenses and more work to set up, and to return the sheets. I’ve never had to bring my own sheets to a vacation home rental but this was required to accommodate the owners and their cleaning crew. The electricity was short circuiting in the 3rd floor master bedroom multiple times per day which was a huge nuisance because the circuit breaker is on the first floor. The beach is too far to walk for young ones and even older kids in the summer heat. Easy enough to drive down and park, though. Speaking of walking be prepared to walk a LOT of steps, even the kitchen requires walking two sets of stairs to access. Lastly what put a dark cloud over the stay was the last 24 hours through check out. My parents, siblings and I spent the final day of our vacation organizing the place, doing dishes, cleaning and doing laundry (bath towels and beach towels) and taking excess trash to the local dump. We aren’t professional maids, but we are all homeowners and parents and we have vacationed together in rental homes dozens of times. Within 25 minutes of check out, the owner sent me a nasty message berating me and my family for what she perceived was us disrespecting the home. No questions, no conversation, just berating and literal attempts to shame us. Needless to say I have never experienced this. I hope the owners learn how to communicate better and establish more realistic expectations for guests, otherwise they should only rent to their friends or small parties for short durations.

The best beach getaway!
I cannot rave enough about this property and its owner, Michelle! My girlfriends and I had the ABSOLUTE BEST weekend here. The house was gorgeous and located so close to shops, restaurants and the beach. We enjoyed lazy mornings and afternoons out by the pool and cabana. No one wanted to leave and we are already scheming on dates to come back! Thank you, Michelle, for being so helpful and responsive for all of my questions. If you have plans to head to Avalon this is the perfect spot!
