Beautiful quiet place, lovely and comfortable

It is a wonderful peaceful place to spend sometime. The setting is beautiful and the location worked very well for us. The rooms were spacious, spotlessly clean and relaxing. Free bikes so you can explore the beautiful surrounding area. The staff were very friendly. We had a couple of issues and they sorted them very quickly. Would definitely recommend The Wooden Gate.
The restaurant set up was not as we expected. Staff weren't always there to serve you. Limited menu. However, there are lots of local restaurants nearby to walk or cycle to.

I absolutely LOVED staying here!! The property is just beautiful, it’s quiet and green, it felt like we were in a private oasis. The pool was the perfect place for cooling off every afternoon.
The only issue was not having internet access in our room (2 bedroom villa, our room was upstairs) or tv, but it was sort of like being forced off-grid for a bit, which is never a bad thing.

Great style, befitting the natural surrounds. Very good breakfasts and helpful staff.
The noise was next level. Unfortunately due to the design and closeness of the rooms and amenities you hear everything outside your room. The staff don’t help matters by constantly talking at a raised volume. And good luck if you’re placed next to the neighbours and their screaming kids & incessant rooster.
