Situated in Brevard, this attractive cottage for $136 per night is a great choice for your next trip. Sunrise Cottage is a welcoming mountain escape while remaining blocks from the heart of downtown Brevard. Tucked off the main street and behind the owner’s residence, this stand-alone home offers everything you would need with its two bedrooms, full bath and kitchen, living room, and screened-in porch. One bedroom offers a queen-sized bed, while the other has a trundle with 2 twin beds. The screen porch’s seating allows you to kick your feet up and breathe in the fresh mountain air or enjoy a meal or morning coffee at the bistro set with the backdrop of flower gardens, songbirds, white squirrels, and rabbits. The home has high-speed wireless internet and Hulu TV. The kitchen provides filtered drinking water, a dishwasher, and all other kitchen conveniences. In the covered shed behind the house, you will find 2 adult bikes, a child’s bike, and a child’s scooter for your use for a quick trip to the heart of town or an adventure on the greenway. The shed is where you can also secure your own bikes on the bike rack provided and a hose along the driveway allows you to easily clean off the mud from your own bikes after tackling the numerous mountain biking trails. Behind the house and shed, there is a climbing dome for children, a grill for cooking out, and a fire pit for making s’mores. This entire residence will be yours to enjoy. The owner lives in the main house on the property and is available to help you whenever the need arises. If you need to have laundry done, she will gladly wash, dry, and fold your laundry for $10/load. Sunrise Cottage is the perfect spot to start and end your day’s adventures while in Brevard. Location: Sunrise Cottage is several blocks from Brevard’s downtown area with its great casual and fine dining restaurants, coffee shops, stores, bars, breweries, Saturday’s Farmers Market, entertainment, and music venues. It is one block to Silvermont’s playground, tennis and basketball courts, and wooded trail. Another two blocks away is Franklin Park which includes the community pool, an extensive playground, and a great pavilion for picnics or gatherings. All of these destinations are accessible by sidewalks straight from Sunrise Cottage. Area state & national parks: • Pisgah National Forest (10 min. away) Hike, camp, fish, river tubing, swim, picnic, mountain bike, rock climb, horseback ride, visit waterfalls, Sliding Rock, NC Fish Hatchery and Educational Center, Blue Ridge Parkway. At the entrance to Pisgah Forest, there are multiple outfitters that have guided tours or equipment of all sorts for rental or purchase. • DuPont State Forest (20 min. away) Explore Triple Falls, Hooker Falls, High Falls, and Bridal Veil Falls Trails are accessible to bikers, hikers, and horseback riders with varying degrees of difficulty. You can also take a Hunger Games Tour, as it was filmed in DuPont. • Gorges State Park (30 min. away) Spectacular waterfalls including Whitewater Falls (the highest waterfall east of the Rockies, falling 811 ft.!), Turtleback Falls and Rainbow Falls. This was a wonderful place for my wife and me to stay, as we traveled to the mountains to see the beautiful fall colors which we had not seen for many years. Carol was a great host and very kind. The positive reviews by previous guests were entirely accurate.The property is very clean and reasonably priced. It's in a great location very close to downtown Brevard (a less than five minute drive). We'd definitely stay again.

This cottage was perfect. The location was ideal for downtown and the wedding venue we attended. It was a 3 day event and being so close to everything made it so much nicer. The hostess was very pleasant and offered any assistance if needed. We plan to visit the area again at some point.

We were delighted with this rental. The guest house was located in a charming setting flanked by flower beds everywhere. Not only was the house extraordinarily clean...but our hostess had left more amenities than we had ever encountered in other rentals. The screened-in porch was another plus. We have already recommended this property to other friends.

The Cottage was CLEAN and just as the listing stated! A prefect place for short and/or long stays. Many extras provided in kitchen and bath! Games and books were also available. It was quiet at the Cottage and is under a 10 minute walk to downtown Brevard in a nice neighborhood. Communication with Carol was great and I appreciated the detailed email regarding check-in/out, directions, etc. I enjoyed the screened in porch in the mornings! A very pleasant stay and Host!

The house was perfect for our family of 3! Carol even left some toys for my 7 y.o. daughter. The house was exceptionally clean (I'm picky with cleaning) and we felt home all the time. The mattress is awesome, we slept very well. The location is great, less than 5 minutes driving from Brevard downtown, still a very quiet location. Carol is very sweet and nice, and was available for us all the time. We'll certainly want to stay in Sunrise Cottage again when coming back to Brevard!

My wife and I stayed at Carol's place in Brevard for 14 days. The house sits back from the street so no street noise even when sitting in the screen porch, which is nice. The space is well laid out and perfect for 2-4 people. The house was clean with a kitchen that had some extras that you would have in your own home like: plastic wrap, containers/lids, etc. The area is quiet. It was easy to spend 14 days there.
Carol lives onsite in the main house. Carol offered replacement sheets and towels after the first 1 week. She also gave us wonderful restaurant and hiking recommendations. It was a pleasure staying there.

The house was just right for a short stay. It is well supplied and very clean. Walking distance to town though easy to park, drive or bike. I especially like the screened in porch.

Clean, comfortable, good location (easy walk to center of town), helpful host, great small place to stay in Brevard. Small size was no problem for us as we were mainly there to sleep, not hang out and spend a lot of time at the cottage. Two small things (one literally): twin beds are kind of short for someone 5'10" or taller, and neigborhood dog woke me up barking early one morning (my son slept right through it).

My Mom and I stayed at Sunrise Cottage for a long weekend and we couldn't have been more pleased with the accommodations. The cottage's screened in porch was our go-to spot at any hour of the day. The cottage is small yet well equipped with everything you might need, but if you think of something then Carol will go above and beyond to get what you need. The cottage is located very close to downtown Brevard but is nestled back in a quiet neighborhood that makes you feel very cozy and comfortable. I can't wait to go back and take my Mom again. The "Sunrise Cottage" is conveniently located, close to downtown Brevard, in a quiet neighborhood, and well back from the street. It was our "home away from home" for the month of July, as we escaped Houston's heat and humidity.
We found it to be well appointed and clean. Carol, the owner, was very gracious, and made a point of checking with us to ensure that everything was to our satisfaction.
