About this cottage rental
We want to share our beautiful 6 year old property with guest seeking that next great adventure with family or friends. This waterfront property has a 400 foot private lighted pier with a handrail for some of the best flounder fishing, sunrises, bird watching and star gazing around. The property offers the conveniences of home and outdoor amenities that will keep you on the patio grilling, cleaning fish, or enjoy watching the barges from the ICW. We have just recently screened in the top balcony. For guest bringing a boat, the boat ramp, bait shop and convenience store is located about a half mile down the way at the end of the island. The pier is equipped with multiple fishing lights that automatically turn on from dusk to dawn. Grocery stores, the shopping mall/ center, restaurants including some of the best Cajun cuisine, sports bars and tap houses are within 15-20 minutes away. Please note that this property does have stairs. The loft also has a ladder to access. The loft may not be suitable for very small children. We love this place. This is our second year to stay. It is always clean, comfortable and they are always improving this property. The pier is amazing and never disappoints. This year alone we caught three redfish that could have been tagged, but we released. Great place to make memories with friends or family!

Nice place, close access to sabine pass. The pier is fun to fish at night, but it's not ready for a boat yet,we had to trailer every night.

We’ve stayed twice now and will certainly be back again. The screened in porch and the view out onto the lake is simply priceless. I Would highly recommend this place for anyone that is looking to get away and enjoy some peace and quiet. In addition, the new wharf handrails makes the fishing even easier. The wharf is perfect for those that enjoy catching more than fishing!

The location was perfect for launching the boat 5 minutes down the road to go out fishing. The house and the amenities were awesome, the beds slept great, and the pier produced a monster sized gar at the end of one of our shark rods! The parking was large enough to turn and park a 22 foot bay boat. We will repeat this VRBO rental! I highly recommend and the host could not have been any nicer :)

Enjoyed our stay but did have a few issues. The trash was not picked up before or during our stay so we weren't able to set out our inside trash when it was full. Did communicate with the hostesses about the issue which I hope she was able to get taken care of for the next guests. Also, we noticed that the drawers in both bedroom's had been removed since our previous stay. That was disappointing since we had nowhere to store our clothing so we lived out of our suitcases for the 5 days we were there. This may not be an issue for some but even hotels & motels have furniture for the storage of clothing, especially when staying for a lengthy amount of time.
Would have given 5 stars if not for the garbage issue!!

Had a great time with 5 adults and 4 kids ranging from 6 to 13 years old. It was a bit of a tight fit with so many but we made it work and most of the time we were outside so not a big deal.
If you like fishing then you can do that all day and night on the pier with a LOT of other places near by that you can fish from if you so desire.
If you like a beach setting take a trip over to Sea Rim State Park. We took the kids over a couple of times and they loved it and several of us did some surf fishing.
The Owners are great and were very responsive to our questions and we appreciated the very fast responses.

Enjoyed property as well as the location. We had a wonderful time fishing off of the pier in the evenings. We will be staying there again for a summer fishing trip with friends.

Had a great stay, and the house was perfect for us. The host was very responsive to our request, and helped make sure how time was perfect. We fished from the pier a lot, and caught several nice trout. Nice bait shop right up the road along with other fishing options. Thanks for having us, and we plan to return.

Everything was excellent. We had a great weekend of fishing . The wind was rough so we didn’t us pier much but had places on the channel that we fished and caught some real nice bull reds . Thank y’all for giving us the opportunity to enjoy your place .

Everything was awesome. Great people!!! The only thing that could be improved on is the pier. It could be repaired at the end. This isn’t a complaint just adviced. We had 7 fishing on the pier and had plenty of room. We loved everything about it and will be going back next year.

My buddies and I went down and stayed for a long weekend of fishing… the house was great nice and peaceful…. The lights on the dock are great for night time fishing!!! The owners are also very nice and helpful with any questions you might have !!

Nice place to rent on the water fun fishing from dock and close to boat launch. Only negative side is one bathroom makes it tricky with extra people, but we managed. Will definitely stay here again.

Exceeded Expectations
We fully enjoyed our stay. The place was just as described and then some. Fishing was phenomenal off the dock. Great communication from host as well. If you want some quiet and beautiful sunrises this is the place for you.

Perfect Weekend Stay
We loved this house! It's right on the water and the dock is perfect for fishing and crabbing. Clean and updated with all kitchen utensils you will need. The kids LOVED the beds and everything was very cozy. We cannot wait to go back again.

My employees and I stayed for 3 nights for a little get away and some team building. We had a great time in the shade under the house in the evenings and we also had a blast each night catching trout from the pier. We will be back. Clean place and communication with the owner was super quick and very friendly.

Relaxing vacation
Property was extremely clean upon checking in. Check-in process was easy, information sent before arrival. We had an amazing time. Super quiet neighborhood, short drive to town for essentials and groceries. We would definitely stay here again!

Crabbing trip
Brought back a lot of memories from staying on the coast with family growing up. So neat to be able to rent a place right on the water, sit on the covered porch and watch boats and ships pass by. We didn’t catch much of any crab off the pier but had a guide take us out and had a great boil at the house. Good rooms, very cute property, easy access and GREAT COMMUNICATION. A/C was wonderful. Be careful, pier has no rails and my 15 year old daughter fell off. Easy to walk back to shore tho and not deep at all. We would definitely stay again.

The place was very clean and everything you needed as far as bait and food is right down the street. My only issue with the we place is Dock. Unfortunately for a large party there is no power or dock at the end of the pier but overall nice place

Fantastic Family Fun
Our family of 7 had a fantastic time at this property! The kids loved fishing on the dock! (We put life jackets on the littles just to be safe!) Everyone caught fish! Flounder, Reds, Trout, it was awesome!! Property management was super communicative, and quick to answer any questions we had about the property and area! Loved the house, it was super cute, and super clean! We will definitely be booking again!!!
