The room and common areas were very clean.
The bed and bed linen were comfortable and clean.
The shower in the room was very good. The towels were clean and fresh.
The bathroom was spacious and cosy.
The breakfast was quite good for the price.
It can be quite noisy at night. This is not really the hotel’s fault, but rather a result of the central location. I would recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper and want to get a good night’s sleep.

The location is excellent, just a short walk from the Douro River and the Dom Luís I Bridge, with plenty of restaurants and cafés nearby. The breakfast was very good, and the reception staff handled an issue with my room professionally. When another guest accidentally took my assigned bed, they prepared another bed for me as quickly as possible.
The air conditioning in my room could have been better. The room had an unpleasant smell, and I had to ask the staff to open the window to improve the ventilation.

Stuff was very nice! The dorm was big and the bed was clean. Location also great! The style of the building and the rooms nice.
The bathroom wasn’t cleaned once in my three days stay. There were plenty of old dirty (and disgusting) things lying around next to the basin. The basin itself also hasn’t been cleaned in a while. There’s not really an option to place your toiletry bag or towel somewhere, since it’s all dirty and wet. The bed was clean and nice, but in the room there were also old dirty towels and garbage lying around. Two guys in the dorm didn’t wash their hands after toilet Nr. 2 (which is not the hostels fault), but since it wasn’t cleaned once, I felt scared to even touch anything in the room such as door handles. Also the toilet seat was always wet. It’s nice to have an own bathroom inside the dorm but the option to use a women only bathroom would be better!
I personally also didn’t enjoy the breakfast. Everything was sweetened, even the scrambled eggs, and also not many different options to from.
