The attic fan works by pulling fresh air in from the outside and expelling warm air up into the attic. We also have portable air conditioners in the upstairs bedrooms during the summer. - Please note that the nearest grocery store is 30 minutes away so plan accordingly. We do stock basic cooking/baking ingredients in the kitchen. - There is a seven mile stretch of gravel county road to get to the lodge. This is a maintained road that 2-wheel drive vehicles can handle. However, under severe rain or snow conditions, 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. - For those traveling with horses, we have two pens available for boarding next to the lodge. A liability release will need to be signed prior to your stay. - Hunting of any kind is not allowed on this property without written consent from the landowner. - Campers and RVs are welcome, but do require a charge of $25/night.
