Great hotel. We loved our stay!!

We had a wonderful time at the Carolton Inn. It was a beautiful, historical place to stay. The room was super clean, decorated very nicely and the bed was really comfortable. It really made you feel like you were you staying in a luxurious room in the 19th century. The staff was very pleasant. The gourmet breakfast was delicious and there were lots of options. We chose to have it brought directly to our room. We also liked the fact that the hotel stays locked at all times, and you need to use your room key to get in. I recommend anyone visting Baltimore to stay here.

It was a lovely historical inn. The entire building, as well as the room, was very clean. We were greeted upon arrival and the employees were adequately friendly. It was great to have a parking lot close by, and I loved that we could walk to Little Italy for dinner. We stayed over a Saturday night, so there were a lot of people walking by later in the evening, and it was easy to hear their voices and their cars. If you are sensitive to noise, this might be something to consider.

We loved our quick little stay and will absolutely return when we come back to Baltimore! The bed was comfy, bath was cozy, water hot, room finishings quaint and old fashioned in really lovely way. Breakfasts were good with lots of cute touches and so nice to take in our room together. The staff was absolutely awesome and everyone we spoke to was so kind and helpful!

Everyone was right about the breakfast. Location is 10/10 if you are looking to do things in the downtown area. Got the Estate room on the 3rd floor and loved having three windows facing the street/sights. Really could not have had better parking/location. Bed was heavenly- clean and comfy. The bathroom though- that was even better! Felt a little like a gangster with the marble shower and tub- no jets in our room but it wasn't a dealbreaker. Overall a great getaway for history nuts looking for a historic feeling stay or people just looking to escape for a few nights. We'll be back!

Stayed in the Patriot’s Room, aka the Cinderella Room. It was beautifully whimsical, clean, and smelled good. Even the decorative bedding smelled clean! The bathroom was roomy, had great ventilation, the tub was huuuge, and the water pressure wasn’t as abysmal as most hotels. The room was very quiet as well, and we couldn’t hear street traffic at all, even on a Ravens Game Day! We especially appreciated that we had to opt in for room turnover instead of getting woken up by banging on the door. Staff was incredibly friendly (probably the friendliest we encountered in Baltimore, lol!) and so patient with me and my questions.
The Gluten Free Breakfast Menu is great for gluten intolerance or ncgs, not so much celiac. We have celiac disease and asked the staff if they thought the GF breakfast would be safe from cross-contamination, and staff was very transparent saying that it probably wouldn’t be safe. We risked it anyway and did get glutened, so your mileage may very. I just appreciate the transparency so that we could make an educated decision!

We treated ourselves for the last night of our two week holiday in and around the area, and we weren't disappointed. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and having a bath on top of a shower was great. Breakfast was excellent, and the staff was friendly. Parking and accessing the hotel for the first time was a little tricky, but it worked out fine (it was easy to access once we had the room keys), and does not detract from how well we enjoyed our stay.

Sharp edge on a counter ripped my wife’s bag. Very loud from the streets. No black out curtains so 3am looked like 10am. Would not recommend at all

Home away from home. Not your typical busy tourist filled hotel. Very chill and comfortable and clean!! If you’re looking to get away for some peace yet still be able to hit a few bars/restaurants before retiring to your bubble bath jacuzzi…stay here!

The property was gorgeous. The garden in the courtyard during breakfast had to be the highlight of the stay. Just a 5 minute walk from Little Italy and Power Plant Live made for a memorable night also. Can't forget the antique gift shop on the 2nd floor. All around, this place is amazing.

Would recommend to anyone and will be staying here again!

This property is a hidden gem in the area. We stayed one night for the show at CFG bank arena and to be totally honest everything was excellent. The exclusiveness of the property and eateries nearby were great.
