No blankets only sheets

It was all we could afford in key west, but it was not a pleasant way to spend the night. The bathroom was extraordinarily clean. The air conditioner did not keep up with the temperature or the humidity. Getting bathroom time was difficult when four of the five people in our room got up at 6:00 a.m.

Safe quiet and clean

Great location. Walking distance to Duval street. plenty of parking in a clean neighborhood. Bike rentals on property if you don’t have a car. My 22 yr old daughter and I stayed in the Women’s only dorm. our room had two bunk beds , half bath and full bath. Each bunk had privacy curtains, mini fan, mini lamp, and outlet. Lockers available in courtyard but must bring your own lock. Laundry machines on site, kitchen area and refrigerate. Laid back, no frills but clean and comfortable. Would stay there again. Easy check-in and check out. no issues.

Terrible

Basic room. Not the Ritz, but simple and quaint and in line with expectations. Towels could be nicer based on per night cost this is not a big ask.

Excellent stay. We stayed in a motel room instead of the hostel. The room was very clean with a great bathroom, refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot. There was a small parking area, and ample free on street parking. The motel rooms each have their own entrance. There is no lobby, you check in at a window. Check in was very easy and smooth. There is a beautiful courtyard with a kitchen and seating for guests to share. The location was quiet and convenient. Excellent stay. We'll be back next time we stay in Ket West.

The location was excellent. Easy walking distance to Duval street. Clean and perfect for what we needed.

The room was full of 🐜 bugs and not cleaned up even after telling the staff about it. Over priced for what you get

We had an incredible stay at the Seashell Hostel. The manager was very helpful. Helped us find the best restaurants, beaches and attractions in the area.

Close enough to walk to dinning and shopping. Felt very safe walking around at night. Friendly staff. Rooms are a little older but clean and comfortable.

My stay at the Seashell was so good I stayed another week. The staff are extremely helpful, the location is perfect for the beach & entertainment district. It's a very cost effective way to stay in this area bearing in mind its location.

Perfect for a quick weekend in the keys. Peter was amazing; very helpful, gave great recommendations!

Customer service was great

The property looks old and worn. Shower controls loose, water pressure low, hot water took too long to get hot. No hot water available in sink, furniture tattered and worn. Main door to room looked as if previously broken into, had 1/2” gap underneath. Tried to cancel once we saw the room however, was told could not cancel because it was secured through Expedia! Do not recommend, $75/night value at best!

Get an ice machine and tv

Perfect location close to the most southern point attraction. Higgs beach is not too far. Easy check in and check out. Love that each bunk has curtains for privacy, personal reading light and charging station. Toiletries provided. Daily housekeeping. Property is usually quiet. Few restaurants walking distance.

This was an expensive stay, but Key West is crazy expensive for everything. The place is an old style motel with refreshed interiors done really well, except the windows are slat type that don’t close fully or block out any noise at all, also the door does not fit properly, I could see the outside light over the top of the door and daylight underneath. If the door was replaced with a proper fitting one and internal double glazing fitted, if they cannot replace outside, it would help a lot. The outside noise was the same as if we were in a tent. The Cockerels start at day break and sound like they are in the room. The parking outside the room was a bonus and the location to Duval street was a simple walk away. Good but could be so much better.

Had a quick overnight stay at Seashell before catching the ferry to Dry Tortugas. Both members of staff were very helpful, the room was comfy and clean, and the amenities (kitchen and parking) very much appreciated
