It was raining hard, they do a nice job all things considered. Their canopy is out of use as it needs repair. That was unfortunate in this circumstance.

This is an older hotel, it's seen some hard times, but that's just on the outside. The inside is comfortable and well taken care of.

We were greeted curbside by a very charismatic woman that showered us with all the information needed for our stay. The hotel is showing a bit of wear and tear and has seen better days. There is no hotel lobby, ice machines, and the pool looks like it needs to be filled in. The room did its job by giving me a place to lay my head at night. This review is strictly for awareness,

We loved the checkin process. We were greeted promptly by name. Credit card was charged correctly. Price was as stated on Hotels website

Shower was hot immediately and good water pressure
Has a Keurig.
Two very comfortable guest chairs and nice sized side table. Fridge and microwave were in good working order.
Hotel is being revamped so exterior needs help. And it appears they are working on upgrades Pool is not available. They have some gazebos that need refurbished
But will be a fun spot for families when completed
Very convenient location. Close to OU campus. Easy to get to.

This is an older facility but it was quite comfortable. My friend is picky about hotels, and she was ok with it. It was quite roomy and had nice basic amenities. Check in was friendly and quick.
We were caught in tornadic storms and the manager took precautions to keep us informed and safe.
I will stay here again the next time I'm in Norman

The lady who took my card at the car was very nice and professional. However, the place is a run down dump. The motel is falling apart. I won't be staying there again. The pictures are deceiving. The television is an old fashioned tube t.v., the carpet is like an old rag.

Late night checkin was great. Friendly attendant and quick after a long drive. Room was very clean with everything we needed for a 2 night stay without having to ask for anything extra. Booked a smoking room because it was the only thing available, but someone had cancelled, so we were able to have a nonsmoking room which was really nice. Would definitely stay there again.

Location was very clean. They have drive up service, so we never had to go into the lobby. We asked for more pillows, and they complied with in 30 minutes. (Gave us time to unload etc.) Used the last bit of toilet paper before we left. Could have used a backup roll when you are there for more than 1 day. Plan to stay there again as it was pretty quiet, and staff is very friendly.

Ordinarly, I would not give this type of property a second look (exterior entrance). However, the reviews were excellent, so we gave it a try! As most of the other reviews will confirm, the staff is great and the rooms are clean! The exterior of the building is a little rough, but no big deal. Wife thought the mattress could have been more comfortable, but I thought it was fine. Close to Riverwind.

Place was great, price was affordable. Beds were not comfortable at all! Other than the beds we loved our stay! The front desk lady was super nice!

Mel was a great host. She really made me feel welcome and if I had to go back to Norman I’d stay again because of her. She went above and beyond to make my stay pleasant. The rooms were clean, at a great rate, and just around the corner from all the great spots on Campus Corner. It was a great choice.

As you'll read in other reviews, the property is older and outdated- however the staff make up for it by far. This is the quickest & friendliest check-in I've ever experienced. The room was very clean and smelled good. The owners and staff take pride in their work, and make you feel comfortable and right at home. We definitely plan on staying here again for future stays.

Very pleasant definitely not the newest or modernist places around but for the price it is no doubt the 1st choice place to stay, very quite and surprisingly felt much safer than expected which was a plus lol. The young lady that runs the place was absolutely top notch and hands down the friendliest person you'll meet i promise without her presence im sure the entire place would take a drastic turn for the worst. Very pleased

The customer service is superb and the staff is extremely attentive to your needs which is nonexistent for places in this price range. It’s an older facility but it’s very clean, functional and close to 35 and the OU campus which was important for our stay.

The staff is amazing. It is a simple room but is so very clean. I hated the pillows but I also am a pillow snob and bring mine whenever we travel. The bed is a queen and I would have preferred a king but otherwise everything was great.

I've lost track of how many times we have stayed at the Thunderbird. It is definitely old-school, but so am I. :) This is the only place with outside doors that I will stay, and that's a testament to how safe I feel there and how much I like it. Comfort, friendliness, proximity to shops, restaurants, casinos, etc. can't be beat for the price.

I decided to stay here after reading all the wonderful reviews. The room had everything I needed. The kuerig was a very nice touch. I enjoyed having a ceramic coffee mug as well. The bed was comfortable and I slept well each night. Mel is definitely the star of this show. From her welcoming check-in, even though I had a later flight, to her texts to see if I needed anything. I look forward to staying here in the future.

Under remodel I believe, we had pets (well behaved) and was in a room with disgusting carpet(I never took my shoes off). I know it’s extremely expensive to remodel the whole facility at once also
