The hotel is built around an inside atrium so there are no outside windows and the only window looks out on the hallway circumnavigating the atrium. Noisy guests walking along. Gloomy space. Could hear guest in next room using bathroom for showreel and hairdryer. In spite of convenient location to family would not return.

Good hotel for family visiting DC. Train was a two minute walk away (30 minute ride to National Mall). Within walking distance to grocery store and several restaurants. Quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly. Hotel felt a little dated, but it was very clean. We would stay here again.

The front desk staff were amazing. However, the lady tending the bar was extremely rude and gave off an uncomfortable vibe. I moved away from the DMV area several years and travel into the area annually for work. During my stay I decided to meet up with an old friend at the bar. It was around 9:30pm -10pm when I sat down at the bar. The bartender looked in my direction and blatantly ignored me. I waited patiently at the bar for 5-10mins until my friend arrived. When he was seated, she walked over and asked what we would like. At this point I was angry and felt like I was being discriminated. I did not vocalize my feelings because I was emotional about it and did not want to antagonize the issue with emotion. After taking our orders, she asked if it was going to be separate checks. I responded that separate checks was fine and my guest responded to place my order onto his. She went to the register and created separate checks. My looked at me puzzled because of how she was treating me. I told him not to worry about it and gave her my card to pay. While my guest and I conversed over drinks, she frequently looked my direction giving me dirty looks. We eventually had enough and took our drinks to my room. I’m not sure if this person was having an off day, but her behavior was extremely off putting. I recommended coaching this lady on friendliness and customer service. Outside of that extremely uncomfortable interaction, I had a good stay.

Only complaint, little to no natural light in my room. Depressing.

I made my business trip reservation 2 weeks in advance. Apparently, while I was flying in, hotel called Expedia and told them they were overbooked and I had no room available for me. Not sure how that was even possible. Expedia tried (or "tried") to find me accommodation but couldn't do it. My wife found me a hotel at 2:15am and Expedia refunded me. I will NOT use Expedia any more.
