About this house rental
Nestled in Lexington, this charming house for $221 per night is a great option for your next break. Park your car and walk almost anywhere!! So close to University of Kentucky, Chevy Chase restaurants, Coffee Shops, Parks and Trails! Our completely renovated bungalow in the Historic Aylesford district of Chevy Chase is a prime locaton for seeing all that Lexington offers! We are just a few hundred yards from Woodland Park, featuring walking paths, tennis courts, and picnic areas. The Woodland Art Fair will be an experience you won't want to miss each August! The park also hosts Ballet Under the Stars, a unique ballet instruction and performance event! Our home is walking distance to Kroger, shops and restaurants on Euclid in the heart of Chevy Chase, and Graeter's Ice Cream shop. We are also convenient to downtown amenties! The houses on our street are uniquely designed! Our neighbors are long- term homeowners, young families with children, professionals, professors, long term rentals, a couple of short term rentals and college rentals! We love our street and all it offers! And of course, the walk to UK campus and stadium is less than a mile! Perfect for a football weekend! We have remodeled the bungalow to have a wonderfully situated living area, with new couches and chairs and SmartTV. Vaulted ceilings in the living and kitchen area are well lighted and feature a Big Ass Fan (come to Lex, ask around, you'll find out it's really cool). Kitchen features new stainless appliances, ample cabinet space, kitchen island for seating, stocked with pots and pans and pantry items, all overlooking an awesome fenced back yard for your pup! The house has a new hot water heater and central hvac system, equipped with a Nest thermostat. Bedrooms are tastefully decorated with comfy mattresses, lots of pillows and remote controlled Big Ass Fans, too! Each bedroom has an oversized closet! Bathroom is spalike, with a large double vanity, and glass surround walk in shower. Front room is a dedicated work space with a desk and chair; this room also houses the new stackable, full size washer and dryer. Speaking of pets...we love them but need to know about them prior to booking! We will allow one dog, around 50 pounds, well behaved and trained and preferably not a bed or couch sleeper...but not a dealbreaker, as we do provide plenty of blankets and coverings for the couch and beds. The backyard is fully fenced with a privacy fence, and plenty of space to throw a tennis ball! We do have a $25 pet fee for approved pets. Be sure to let me know the details when you inquire to book! We appreciate not letting your pets on our furnitire or beds…if they are tempted, please use the blankets provided or bring you own old sheet as needed! No cats or other animals permitted. The house is a great location for 4 guests coming in for a weekend to explore Lexington, attend a football game, visit Keeneland, or head to the Bourbon Trail. The house is equipped with a Ring doorbell/front porch camera and a back door camera The system is monitored 24/7 and must not be tampered with. We do not allow events or parties, and only registered guests and immediate family in town are permitted overnight on the property. Thank you in advance for abiding by this important policy! The owner had make up wipes in the bathroom, snacks in the kitchen and wonderful throw blankets everywhere for us to cozy up while watching TV. The place was perfectly decorated for Christmas - we were there mid-December for UK graduation. Owner was quick to respond to our text with a wi-fi question. Only thing to note is that there was not a dining table - the island counter in the kitchen worked fine for us, but if you wanted to serve a meal - it's not really laid out for that. Comfortable & felt like home - five stars all the way!

This is a charming, beautiful house on a quiet street, super close to a lot of great restaurants and places to go in the heart of Lexington. Spacious open kitchen/family room, comfy bedrooms and bathroom, and our dog loved the fenced-in backyard. We’re definitely booking it again next time we’re in Lexington!

This was our second stay at 338 Oldham and once again, we felt right at home! We travel with the family dog to visit our son who is a student at UK. The location is very conveniently located to campus as well as shopping and eateries.
The house is kept clean, the linens are comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked.

Dropping of my firstborn at college 6 hours away from home couldn’t have been smoother without this rental. Excellent location to central campus, extremely clean and adorable inside, and communication with the owner was above par. Would rent again in a minute.

This is an amazing home with such a cute, fenced in backyard. Great for sitting outside and enjoying a nice evening. The location of the home can't be beat either. Cathy is an amazing host and her home is spotless. She has thought of everything a guest might need. She is so responsive and helpful to any question that might arise. You won't be disappointed!

We were in Lexington for the Lexington Challenger professional tennis tournament, and Cathy's home provided the perfect accommodations. The home is beautifully decorated, and no detail was overlooked. The kitchen is well-stocked, and the backyard was the perfect place for my daughter's dog to play. The neighborhood is adjacent to campus and walkable to many shops, boutiques, and the local Kroger. I would definitely book this home again on a return trip to Lexington.

Newly renovated, clean, great location near campus. Property is very nicely renovated. It has a great back yard and a driveway. It is so close to campus and allows you to avoid all the crazy traffic on Nicholasville Rd. Check in and out , & communication with property manager was easy. Great property overall.

We enjoyed our stay on Oldham Avenue. The house had all of the supplies that we needed which was such a convenience. The house is in wonderful shape and very close to UK campus. This property was perfect when my friend and I traveled to Lexington for my daughter's moms weekend. We had ample room to spend time together and were close to the university and restaurants. Cathy's property was truly a "home away from home" for us during our visit to Lexington. So much so that we extended our trip two days beyond our plan! It's comfortable, updated and spacious where you need it. The property was clean and well-stocked with everything you'd need for a short or extended stay (i.e. coffee, snacks, detergent, face wipes, extra linens, small appliances, dog supplies, etc). Our pups had everything they needed and were very comfortable. They really enjoyed sitting outside local pubs with us while we enjoyed happy hour cocktails. Cathy is very responsive and flexible. The property is well located to parks, restaurants and a Kroger, but not too far from downtown. We felt safe walking the neighborhood. If there was one drawback, the street includes a mix of college residents and their schedules may not be compatible with those who prefer to be soundly asleep at midnight.

What a fabulous little bungalow right in the heart of everything. My wife loves the kitchen and bathroom. Our dogs loved the fenced in yard and easy to walk around neighborhood. Cathy is fantastic & very responsive. Wish we had known about this place 4 years ago!

The location is very close to town, campus and an easy walk to the football stadium. Our Host, Cathy, was incredible in communicating from beginning to end. Unfortunately, due to sudden illness we were unable to enjoy our visit to Lexington. House is adorable. Very nicely updated. Wonderful kitchen and bathroom. Cathy our host was a great communicator and on top of all our needs. Only complaint is that the neighbors are mostly college students. We go to bed early and I am a very light sleeper therefore it was a bit of a challenge for me.

Our family needed a home away from home to accommodate our daughter's sorority activities before her apartment was ready for us to mover her in. Cathy was absolutely amazing! She was very clear on expectations yet very flexible to ensure the most positive experience residing on this property. The home is beautifully decorated, clean, well provisioned. It is as if Cathy anticipated our every need proactively. Check-in, Check-out was a breeze and Cathy was very responsive whenever a question arose. Thanks for a comfortable stay! We will be back :)

Cathy is stellar at communication. Everything was smooth from start to finish and the home was as beautiful and well-appointed as pictured and described. The beds are comfy and the layout of the house was perfect for our little family to watch movies, play games, or even catch a nap. We love to walk and the neighborhood was perfect for it. The donut shop next to Kroger and the bagel shop were right around the corner in the morning and there were so many options for supper, we hardly had to drive anywhere. We walked past the university one evening for supper. We did drive to the Horse Park one day and visited several stops on the Bourbon Trail the next. We had an awesome little family trip before school starts with lots of good memories. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.
