Your Whimsical Upstairs Cozy Cottage is an adorable nature-filled respite on Lake Travis. Part of a Magical Retreat Property, we offer ON-SITE private yoga, massage, body coaching/personal training, as well as kayaks, canoes, & stand-up paddle board rentals. Perks: Master bath with garden jacuzzi tub, eclectic open-concept layout, mini-fridge, toaster oven, coffee maker, eco-friendly bamboo queen bed, & outdoor grills (one gas and one charcoal). There is a quaint covered porch with an eating table & chairs to enjoy beautiful lake views.

Our host contacted me personally to welcome us and make sure the a/c was at a comfortable level. Property was surrounded by other little eccentric little houses. He also wished us safe travels when we checked out. I did not like the idea that we couldn’t adjust the a/c ourselves and there was not a tv. You do need to be able to walk up and down a very steep ramp to get to the river. There was hot water but the shower was a rainfall faucet with a curtain that wrapped around and clung to you as you showered. The door was lockable but it didn’t feel secured. It was a clean room. If you want to just sit outside and BBQ and do yoga this might be a place for you. It was peaceful but not a place we will personally visit again.

I chose this property to get away from the ebbs and flows of busy city life. The environment was peaceful, relaxing, and overall rejuvenating. Exploring the property, there were multiple places to sit and unwind. Whether you wanted to be by the river, curl up with a good book next to their waterfall, or feel enveloped by the bustling leaves of the gorgeous trees, this place was an absolute dream to reset the mind and body. I highly suggest this place if you want to get away from it all. The owner also has a gorgeous Golden Retriever which makes the place all the more worth checking out!
