So I just spent 3 night at HomeStay Field in Ha Giang. I can say enough about how gracious Khanh and Hiem were!
If anyone is looking or considering a stay in Ha Giang I strongly recommend you consider HomeStay Field!
The hosts could not be any nicer, helpful, fun to be around, informative, patient and gracious. I was treated to meals in the morning, lunch, and evening and I got a chance to learn more about the culture and area.
I took a 1 day motorbike ride through the loop and that experience was amazing! We stopped at the perfect places to relax and take in the view and/or have a drink at one of the local vendors on the road. And the prices for these were so cheap!
We also had a chance to stop at an authentic store that makes and sells all sorts of items made from the linen and cotton they make their. I had the chance to watch them work and see how it is made from beginning to end. This would not have been possible if not for the hosts who informed my rider what I was looking for.
The hosts also helped with logistics in getting here via bus from Hanoi airport and some ideas on where to got next in northern Vietnam.
Again, I can say enough positive things about the hosts Khanh and Hiem at HomeStay Field in Ha Giang, it was truly an above and beyond authentic experience!!!

Nice place with lovely owners. Room was excatly like on the picutres and the view from the balcony was amazing. It is located on the outskirts of the village between the rice fields what means you are not disturbed by the noisy loop groups. But you will need a motorbike (they have some for rent) if you want to go for a restaurant or something. They also serve food and drinks.

Wunderschön mitten in der Natur gelegen. Die Bungalows sind einfach eingerichtet, aber alles notwendige ist da, die Betten bequem und es ist sauber.
Ein kleine Frühstück war ebenfalls gut. Die beiden Gastgeber sind wunderbare Menschen! Wir buchten über Sie 2 Motorräder für den Loop und unseren Transfer von und nach Hanoi. Alles klappte perfekt. Als wir während des Loops von der Polizei angehalten wurden und diese eine übertriebene Strafe von uns haben wollten, konnten wir die Gastgeber anrufen und diese haben die Zahlung um die Hälfte nach unten drücken können. Vielen herzlichen Dank nochmals!!

Accueil sympathique de la famille. La chambre à l'étage avec balcon est très cosy et lumineuse.
Notre hôte nous a fait livrer une moto rapidement pour visiter les villages ethniques aux alentours.
Le homestay est un peu éloigné du centre.
