The AC in the room did not work, there was no hot water. Plenty of parking but they still charge for it. Expensive good that is terrible. View of lake was actually a view of the AC units

Be prepared. When you give them a card for incidentals to be charged extra. We bought 2 drinks one was nonalcoholic and the other one had alcohol in it, and charged them to our room and the cost was $36. She couldn’t tell us what the drink charge was. We also paid for the room up front and was charged a resort fee on top of all other charges. Don’t expect to find coffee away from your room without paying for it. Food was way very expensive. I guess I am use to the poor man’s vacation where you get a Continental breakfast and coffee for free even if it’s a reduced version of what they have. Even at the cheaper hotels you get free coffee in the lobby, in the morning.

We had a great stay. Loved the room, main floor and large deck outside of main level. Will definitely stay here again when the opportunity presents.

The location and view are stunningly beautiful. The hotel is well kept. Those are big advantages. Two things they need to address: 1. The decor and furnishings are getting old and are in need of updating. All very traditional and old fashioned looking. Even traditional decor needs updating from time to time. We didn't feel like we were in a nice hotel because it felt so out of style and kind of long in the tooth. 2. The food - we had dinner and breakfast - is mediocre at best with little attention to detail. A request for no bacon on a sandwich went unheeded and showed up on the sandwich. The taste of the food is not the quality you expect from a place trying to be upscale. Think frozen, not fresh like the fried potatoes I tried to eat and powdered eggs on the buffet unless you specifically ask for freshly made. Eventually your view and site can only compensate for so much.

There was places that need painting. There was rust looking stains running down the wall in the pool and the handicap lift was rusting. The tube needed some work. The seal around the tub was disgusting.
