Hotel location and facilities are excellent.
However now charging €12.00 for tea/coffee facilities in the room. The rooms no longer have individual iron/ironing board either. Not very convenient for a business traveller.

Wonderful old school hotel but with charm and not as characterless as some of the larger hotels. Great location to see the Hamburg ballet and take the train. Excellent service and quality furnishings including excellent sound proofing from the road and comfortable beds- recommended!

Excellent staff, courteous and friendly. The bathrooms are generously sized and the room was very comfortable.

Everything was superb standard. Porters who helped take luggage to room. Reception staff exceptionally helpful. Hotel manager on floor greeting and supporting guests and making us feel very special. Will definitely stay again. Cost of room very competitive and got beautiful suite. Very happy.

A hotel without AC. Everything else is nice. So if you can sleep in 25 degree's, it's fine. The Brasserie needs to improve. Lobster soup did not taste as a Lobster soup. Neither the 38 Euro steak was tender. But parking, location roof terrace and the room is nice

We had a pleasant stay at Grand Elysee! Excellent service, rooms were superfresh and nice. The bed was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the spa and sauna area.
We ordered roomservice for dinner one day and it was very fast and delicious. The breakfast was amazing, and the variety of different restaurant options at the hotel was great. Friendly and serviceminded staff. Very good location, close to the city center, but still in a calm and quiet - we can highly recommend a stay here when in Hamburg!

The hotel restaurants are great, though the room service menu is a bit thin.
The hotel is literally right around the corner from the train station, there is a park right next door, and there are a ton of great restaurants within walking distance.
The staff is courteous and attentive.
