We loved the location, local eateries close by and not far away from the city centre. The hotel itself is great value for money, the rooms were nice, quite modern as the hotel is only a couple of years old and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
The beds are extremely hard so if you prefer a softer bed bring a blow up mattress of some sort as all beds in the hotel are the same. The staff did offer us some mattress toppers (I took 4) but these were more like doona inserts and were very thin so made no difference at all to the bed. We found a local pool float shop in town near the smaller bridge and got 2 blow up mattresses for cheap, totally worth it if staying at this hotel for a lengthy stay.
The hotel itself isn't very sound proof. They have karaoke across the street nightly, this didn't really bother us but more so the horns and the traffic very early in the mornings. Our room was on level 4 on the street side so even though we were high enough the noise was still loud.
All the rooms need a good insect spray. We had ants all through the room including the bathroom.
We had booked for 4 nights but decided to check out after 2 as we needed a good night sleep. The hotel did refund us the extra 2 nights we had left, not expected so that was thoughtful of them.
