Achtung: Die Überraschung kommt hinterher!

Die Lage war Fluch und Segen: Recht abgelegen im Grünen. Gepflegte Anlage. Fahrräder konnten kostenlos gemietet werden. Am letzen Abend wurden wir (wohl aus schlechtem Gewissen) zu einem kurzen Konzert eingeladen.

Die Matratzen sind einfach nur Schaumstoff auf Pressspan, die Dusche ist meistens kalt und die Moskitos gehen im Zimmer ein und aus (es gibt aber Netze). Das Essen war durchschnittlich, dafür recht teuer. Die Kommunikation mit den Gastgebern war sehr schwierig und zäh; wir erhielten ungenaue Informationen zum Abholort in Vinh Long und mussten dann mit allem Gepäck durch die Stadt tingeln. Ach ja: Die Außenbäder sehen nur so blumig aus; wir hatten es zwar gebucht und bezahlt, aber ein simpleres bekommen. Der Grund für meine schlechte Bewertung liegt vor allem in der Verbandelung mit „Mekong Travel(s)“, einem Bootstoren-Anbieter. Touri-Abzocke! Wir hatten eine dreistündige „Bootstour“ zu den Ziegelöfen, zwei Farmen und einer kleinen Biketour. 22$ pro Person, ein Guide sollte nochmal 20$ extra kosten (haben wir abgelehnt). Die Biketour war für uns unnötig, da wir den ganzen Morgen Fahrrad gefahren waren, aber nun gut. Die Kommunikation über WhatsApp war schleppend und schwierig, weshalb wir um kurz vor 15:00 Uhr benachrichtigt wurden, dass wir jetzt sofort am Homestay Ut Trinh abgeholt würden. Das haben wir natürlich nicht geschafft, deshalb ging es später los. Zunächst zur Kokosfarm (ganz interessant) und Imkerei (nicht viel zu sehen) gefahren. Dann über den Mekong sehr direkt zu einer Ziegelfabrik geschippert: Natürlich war das nicht das schöne Pottery Village sondern irgendeine Baracke mit Öfen und zwei/drei Leuten, die in Hängematten lagen. Keine Erklärungen, keine Infos (hätte wie gesagt 20$ extra gekostet). Sehr ernüchternd. Direkt danach war dann die „Bootstour“ auch vorbei; wir fuhren zurück zum Homestay und das war’s. Nach nicht einmal 90 Minuten. Erwartet hatten wir etwas mehr Wasser und etwas weniger Fahrrad: Jetzt sollte nämlich die Biketour im Nieselregen starten (vermutlich dann nochmal eine Stunde im Kreis fahren).
