The host Hak is very welcoming, kind and helpful. He provided tuk tuk transport to the bus station, organised our dolphin tour, helped us arrange the next part of our trip in Mondulkiri and even gave us some beers!
The room was basic but the bed was comfortable, the shower had hot water and the fans were sufficient to keep us cool.
The Homestay is a short walk from town but without the benefit of feeling rural and peaceful. There were a couple of cockerels that were noisy in the mornings - both of these points were more than made up for by the host and the low price.

I loved my stay here. The family were all so welcoming and friendly and took me on a tour around! Would highly recommend (especially Joe the cat)!

Localisation
Nous sommes restés 2 nuits.
Très difficile de dormir car déplacements incessants de cafards sur les murs en tôle ondulée de la chambre, mais nous nous sommes aussi fait réveiller par des cafards dans notre lit malgré la moustiquaire. Certains cafards étaient gros comme la paume de la main. Le propriétaire nous a proposé de mettre du répulsif toxique dans notre chambre et sur le lit… nous avons refusé. Nous avons fini par dormir sur la table à manger.
Nous comprenons que dans une région chaude il y a des cafards, mais il est vexant de voir que le propriétaire ne nous croit pas et nous nargue à plusieurs reprises en disant qu’on a peur de petites fourmis. Si le propriétaire ne nous avais pas autant manqué de respect, nous n’aurions pas mis de commentaire car sa femme et son fils sont très gentils.
De plus la chambre n’est pas propre
J’espère qu’avec ce commentaire le propriétaire se remettra en question car il ne semblait pas vouloir régler le problème à notre départ pour les prochains voyageurs.
PS : le tour à 15$ sur la demi-journée pour les dauphins proposé par le propriétaire n’est pas un « tour » mais juste un service de tuktuk, car il n’inclut pas … les dauphins et les rapid. Aucune explication culturelle ou historique. Il faut donc prévoir 10$ de plus pour voir les dauphins une fois sur place (nous n’avons pas été mis au courant).
