Quiet and clean, renovated nice

We stayed as a family of 4 in the room with 3 beds for 2 nights.
We chose the larger room b.c of the picnic table in the room and the “kitchenette” area (full sized fridge, microwave, double sink; plates, bowls, cups, utensils, can opener provided. No stove).
We also used the provided grill (BYOCharcoal, tongs, and lighter).
The large bathroom with fluffy, white towels was a huge plus!!
The beds were good/pleasant, pillows okay (if you’re picky, bring your own).
The TV comes with Hulu+ but you can also sign into your own streaming services. WiFi was free, easy to connect to, and strong.
The lodge building is part of a farm-type property and is very no-frills. But if you need a room that feels like a hotel, this is the one.
We will return.
PS Be aware - the nearest “restaurant” is 12 minutes away; “town” is 20 minutes away with limited amenities (there is a Walmart). We prepared all our own meals (made-ahead to be microwaved, meat on the grill, sandwiches, etc). That being said, I am already planning a return trip to Pickett and BSF because the area really is so great

This is a horse camp area. And they allow pets. Just make sure you and your pets can respect the room. Wonderful place

Becky is wonderful and keeps the lodge in great shape. The property was as described, clean, comfortable beds, and easy to locate. She is an excellent host and was so kind to leave the porch light on for us. Would definitely recommend staying there. There is no breakfast on site, but there are food options in the area.
