Welcome to Flat Branch Lodge, a newly renovated mountain retreat sitting on over two wooded acres in historic Tracy City, Tennessee. Nestled in the Cumberland Plateau and surrounded by Appalachian forest and wildlife, this cozy cabin offers peaceful seclusion with unbeatable access to world-class outdoor adventures. Located less than five minutes from the legendary Fiery Gizzard Trail, South Cumberland State Park, Savage Gulf State Park, Grundy Lakes, and several waterfalls and swimming holes, it’s the perfect basecamp for hiking, climbing, kayaking, caving, fishing, and exploring the natural beauty of the region. Guests also enjoy quick access to the Dutch Maid Bakery, Coalmont OHV Park, Foster Falls, Denny Cove, Monteagle, Sewanee, and The Caverns.
Inside, the cabin features warm, rustic charm with thoughtful modern updates. The main level includes a comfortable primary bedroom and full bathroom, along with a newly renovated kitchen boasting butcher-block countertops, a farm sink, modern appliances, and Lodge cast iron cookware. A washer and dryer are conveniently tucked nearby. Upstairs, a spacious loft includes two queen beds, a pull-out couch, smart TV, and two desks ideal for remote work or creative projects. The cabin sleeps six comfortably and is designed for both relaxation and adventure.
Outside, guests can enjoy two covered porches with ceiling fans overlooking the surrounding woods, ample parking for vehicles, trailers, or UTVs, and a large private fire pit tucked behind the cabin for quiet evenings under the stars. Beautiful location with a large quiet lot. We loved the outside areas with the fire pit, large porches, and big grassy areas to throw a Frisbee. The kitchen was decently stocked for basic cooking, plenty of blankets and linens for beds.The level of cleanliness was ok.. clean enough but not as good as it could have been. The outside areas were particularly iffy. One of the Adirondack chairs was broken, there was a random old rug in a pile by the fire pit. A couple of random tools laid on the porch. The outdoor seating on the porch was dirty and needed a good wipe down before sitting on.We managed to find 2 random roasting sticks randomly around the fire pit which was nice to roast smores with, but both were bent out of shape.Overall, we loved the area but we're a but disappointed with the cleanliness and lack of personal touches.

We had a nice stay at Flat Branch Lodge. It was conveniently located between the State Parks we were visiting. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed! Very clean, comfortable, and well-decorated. The property photos were a bit misleading as far as privacy goes, as you’re located right behind 2 homes that were very visible without tree cover (we were visiting in March while the trees were still bare) and the pond was a little lacking, but we were still able to enjoy a secluded bonfire out back. Fire wood was provided which was great! No issues with check-in or host communication. Overall, great cabin for a little family looking for a place to relax after outdoor adventures!
