You will be less than two miles from Roan Mountain State Park located on TN Hwy 143, at the base of the majestic 6,285 foot Roan Mountain, home of the World's largest natural Rhododendron garden and incredible panoramic mountain views (see http://www.roanmountain.com). At the bottom of the mountain, very close to our property, Roan Mountain State Park encompasses more than 2,000 acres dominated by rich hardwood forest along rugged ridges. The cool, clear Doe River winds its way through the center of the park and supports a healthy population of trout. State Park activities await you including heated pool, volleyball court, tennis and basketball courts, Ranger-led hikes, fly fishing the Doe river, music/performances in the amphitheater, etc. (see https://tnstateparks.com/parks/roan-mountain) Carvers Gap Trailhead for the Appalachian Trail is just minutes away.

Our 2017 Custom Built Mountain Home features great views overlooking the mountains and a spring fed pond. There is an expansive covered deck. Wood and tile floors with open floor plan. The kitchen is very spacious with a large island and view of the mountains. There is a Master Bedroom on each floor. Each Master has a laundry room and full bath. The heat system is a radiant floor with thermostats in each bedroom.

Please note that the top part of our gravel road is very steep. We recommend you plan to come in an all wheel or 4 wheel drive vehicle, especially in bad weather.

There is a fire pit just off the deck. We have a Weber grill. There is a generator for those times when the power goes out. We have StarLink internet and a ROKU for streaming. While our place is not totally handicap accessible, we have had a guest in a wheel chair stay in the first floor bedroom. It has a full bath and a washer/dryer. there is not a deck on the entry porch, but it is only a step or two up from ground level (see the photo).
