Nestled like tree houses above Ranger Creek in the wild and beautiful South Cumberland Mountains,
Hemlock Cabin and Oak Cabin offer a serenity and a nature rich environment that is mesmerizing.
These charming cabins with private back porches are perched above Ranger creek. Surrounded by a forest of Oak and Hemlocks, you will feel like you are actually sitting in the trees!
If you have a mind to, you can wander down and wade in the crystal clear mountain water.
Each cabin has a rock fire pit with chairs where you can sit out at night and watch as the stars come out, one by one.
The cabins are designed to be a cozy and comfortable retreat from the hustle of everyday life.
Queen loft bedroom, simple modern bath, outfitted kitchen with retro bright red refrigerator and all you need to feel right at home.
**There is a couch in the living room that can pull out, however we do not advise this as a sleeping arrangement for adults, as it is not the most comfortable option. (Just fine for the kids tho!)
A hibachi on a platform is on your porch for your grilling pleasure.
You are just a few minutes away from the four trailheads at our newest state park, Savage Gulf State Park as well as at the three trails in the South Cumberland State Park. Waterfalls, majestic bluffs, roaring creeks, miles and miles of beautiful trails offering so much for every skill level of nature lovers.
The new Coalmont OHV Park is just a few minutes away. Less than 30 minutes to the Caverns music venue.
This is the ideal getaway for those who need a good dose of replenishment, refreshment and rest.
Important Note: Ladybugs are very common in our region. Certain times a year we do experience some ladybugs inside of homes. Please know that all lady bugs are removed by housekeepers during the cleaning process, but are likely to be back quite quickly in large quantities.

Although it rained our whole stay the tin roof was phenomenal to hear the rain and we sat in the porch and watched the creek rise it was so peaceful even had a few dogs stop by to visit would definitely stay again

The cabin was very nice and had everything you need for a comfortable weekend away. I was very impressed with the quality of the matteress. It was so comfortable, unlike most stays, where its like laying on a brick. Soon after arrival we were welcomed by one of the adorable dogs that live on the property. The only downside has nothing to do with the owners, but just the unfortunate timing of our stay. There seems to be some construction going on at a propery nearby that started at daylight and continued until dark, so if you are looking for daytime peace and quiet, its not going to be until they are done with whatver they are doing. Again, this is no fault of the owner, and if youre going to be out and about during the day its not a problem. Overall, this is a great cabin with everything you need for a short stay, the creek and woods are beautiful. Be sure to use the fire pit, its peaceful and a great way to hear the owls and maybe watch the bats that are swooping around.

Great little spot to rest while checking out davage gulf state park...

Location is pretty - over looking stream. Love the back porch. The Savage Gulf park in the area is gorgeous. There is nothing else in the area - including good restaurants. The room was clean but a used soda bottle was found behind the curtain - and there were a lot of ants in the kitchen. The porch was NOT clean. Lighting inside the cabin is too dim. Especially in the bathroom. The whole place needs to be redecorated and repainted. It's tired and old. There were a lot of dogs running around and barking. In the evening there was a lot of barking from neighboring dogs. It was hard to sit at the fire pit because the ground was not level.The next cabin over left their porch light on and it lit up our fire pit area. That was disappointing.The path down to the fire pit was made of square cement blocks that were NOT secure. My wife almost fell down the hill. The folder of "what to do" left in the cabin is outdated. The information is not accurate. The sheet in the cabin said don't wash dishes. The email said, "wash all dishes."
