This room worked well for us for the few days we stayed in Hue. We wanted a private room in a hostel and this hostel offered that for an excellent price. As two women (same-sex couple), there was no comment or awkwardness on us sharing a double bed. The room was large and the bathroom was very nice. The bathroom in particular was very clean. Other people staying were friendly, as were the family/staff, one of whom had a little boy who we enjoyed meeting. The air con and fan in the room both worked well and we had no issues being too warm. Laundry was returned to us quickly and was done well.
The room had an internal window (which was knew when booking so no problem there) however a member of staff opened it from the outside on our first morning and then knocked to come in (despite us using the do not disturb hanger) which made my partner quite uncomfortable. I'm sure this isn't common though and wasn't a major issue.
The breakfast was decent (they ask what you want from a menu and make it straight away) – egg baguettes, omelette, etc. However, I asked for no salad as I was being careful with food and was still given something with salad. The dining area is also right in the front room / reception area of the hostel and we found the staff quite pushy. Despite having already made plans for our stay and onwards travel, we were asked 5+ times about our transport plans and advised to use the hostel's transfer option (other guests had similar experiences). We found this disruptive and avoided spending too long in the dining area as a result. It was also unclear whether we were allowed to use the fridge/kitchen ourselves, as is common in hostels.
Finally, there seemed to be a lot of ants or similar in the hostel. I noticed a few at breakfast and we had to dispose of the bananas we had kept in our room overnight as these attracted more ants.
