House was very clean. We really enjoyed the quiet countryside, and looking at plants including bananas and coffee cherries.The house is quite spacious and our two adult sons enjoyed having their own bedrooms. Mattresses very really comfortable!Loved the daughter's comments in the guide book!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the host was responsive and easy to work with. The home was well-stocked with quality linens, towels, and nice interior furnishings, and the location worked well for our rodeo weekend in Waimea.
That said, there were a few issues that impacted our experience. Considering the $400 cleaning fee, we were surprised to find the stove dirty upon arrival, and many of the kitchen pans and cooking utensils were heavily worn and not very clean. We eventually found a newer set stored in a cabinet, which helped.
The biggest concern for our group was the condition of the beds and pillows. After long days at the rodeo in cold, rainy weather, a comfortable place to rest is important. Unfortunately, the mattresses were extremely firm and the pillows offered very little support. Everyone in our group woke up sore, and we feel the bedrooms would greatly benefit from updated mattresses and bedding.
We also experienced a significant roach issue during our stay. We encountered both large and small cockroaches throughout the home, particularly in the kitchen and bathrooms. We even found them crawling on bathroom counters and around personal items and toiletry bags left out overnight.
With some attention to pest control, kitchen upkeep, and replacing the mattresses and pillows, this property could provide a much more comfortable experience for future guests.
