It was an amazing stay with a Red Dao family. The room was clean and featured a bathroom with a hot shower and a terrace. Our host showed us her garden, vegetables, and fish, and then prepared dinner using her own produce. Finally, we even got to try on traditional Red Dao clothing. It was a truly authentic experience.

This place is magical and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for some quiet time away from the city. The view from the room (huge window on the wall opposite the head of the bed so you can wake up to the sunrise) and deck is absolutely gorgeous. The curtains block out all the light if you want to sleep in but it's worth opening them to watch the sunrise over the mountains. The room is large and clean and the family running the homestay is very kind and welcoming. The food is delicious and there are no set times for the included meals so if you want to sleep in you won't miss breakfast. I also did a trekking tour with the host and it was amazing. My health wasn't great at the time so they even picked me up on a motorbike to bring me back afterwards. They helped arrange transportation during my stay for a lower cost than using Grab and overall were extremely generous and accommodating. I was treated like family. I would love to go back when I get the chance.
The shower has hot water and there is soap, shampoo, and conditioner provided in the washroom. The beds are comfortable and the location is quiet and relaxing.
