The location was very convenient, with good public transport connections and the possibility of walking to many different parts of Hamburg. There are also supermarkets and other services nearby. The area itself is pleasant.
We had an issue with the towels upon arrival, but we contacted the host and he was very kind and helpful throughout the whole stay. He addressed the issue quickly and efficiently and offered solutions from the beginning. As a host, he was excellent.
One thing worth mentioning for future guests is that this is a private home rather than a dedicated holiday apartment. Some of the photos give the impression of a more professional, purpose-designed accommodation, whereas in reality it is someone's home, so personal belongings and a more lived-in atmosphere are to be expected. This is not necessarily a problem, but it is something I think guests should be aware of when booking.
Overall, considering the price paid, I expected a somewhat higher standard. There is also some traffic noise from the road opposite if the windows are kept open.
