It could have been fantastic. Haven't it been for management
I ended up having major and pointless arguments with management and ended up quarrelling at length with an alleged manager called Mr How, who was extremely unreasonable considering the cost and alleged high class status of the hotel It is one of the most expensive resorts on cat ba, and certainly not worth the money
I paid for a seaview room but was was allocated a jungle view. After a prolonged/ ongoing argument, both via WhatsApp, phone calls, and ultimately face-to-face. After 3 days, I was allocated the room I had originally paid for.
His excuse was that they were very busy at this time of the year. An insulting and pathetic excuse For poor management, overbooking and hedging their bets that people will back down. He tried to offer me a free breakfast, which was simply insulting
Many of the restaurants , gyms and other advertised facilities were closed.
When I tried to get room service after a forty-minute wait on the phone. Mr Howe came to my room complaining that I'd been rude to his staff and asking when I was going to leave... in simple words, I told him to get out of my room and kiss my hairy arse, Otherwise, I was going to cause major problems for him and anybody else that tried to get involved. Wisely, he decided to leave.
Considering the price point of the hotel and inadequate lack of service, I will never be returning.
I ended up leaving the next day, moving to a hotel in town which was not of the same class. But the fact the staff were fantastic, and the rooms were all clean, hassle free and fraction of the price I, would recommend saving yourself a fortune by avoiding it like AIDS, COVID, The Black Death, Rabies and Ebola.
