Comfortable and easy to get around.
Good location, close to cafes and restaurants. Room was clean and comfortable.
Toiletries, the bar soap was the same as the hand soap and very small that I could not use for my shower.

Bad
The property had old furniture and smell dirty and Biggest of all, when I turn the light one, docens of roaches hiding, it was disgusting to see that. They really need to clean that place in order for people to rent that place.
Old, dirty

Simply the worst motel I’ve ever stayed in.
The property is convenient to State street. Markets and restaurants are close by.
This is absolutely the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. There was a dead bug on the wall that was clearly smashed against the wall. Seems like no one is cleaning the walls even though the dead bug smeared on the wall is very evident. The bathroom floor and baseboard had clear water damage. There were brown stains from the water damage. We immediately complained but they had no other rooms and it was late so the front desk clerk told us he would see if a discount can be offered the next morning. When we woke up the next morning, there were a trail of ants in the bathroom. It was 6:00 am so couldn’t really do much at this point. When I went to grab my towel another type of bug fell out. I absolutely lost it at that point. By the time the manager was in the office at 7:00, he already had a sheet that said he got approval for a 30% discount. However this was before the ants and other bugs found in our bathroom. After several minutes of back and forth the front desk clerk said he couldn’t do anymore since he’s not the manager. We’ll be contacting the manager to complain even further. Friends of ours that stayed in a different room had similar complaints minus the bugs and they were given a 50% discount. When I asked about this, he just gave some BS excuse about how they paid a higher rate so that’s why they got a different discount. Totally ridiculous. I will never stay here again nor would I let anyone I know stay there either.

Would avoid if I didn’t accidentally book this place X.X
We did a one night stay in Santa Barbara and upon arriving, there was only one parking left (730pm arrival). As we got out of the car to go check in, a couple was verbally arguing outside of their room, escalating as we finished getting our keycard. It was not a good first impression when you haven’t even gotten into the room. The room itself is decent with okay bedding, but it needs a lot of cleaning still. Staff was not friendly nor professional so just adds that extra icing on top of everything that’s already going wrong. The only positive thing is that this place is pet friendly because we saw a cute little guy in the window.
Environment: Felt very unsafe, but we tried to reassure ourselves based on the cars that parked out front. The trash area was on perimeter of the hotel and it stank up half of the property. On top of it, the ice machine was right next to it, which was very unsanitary. Room: Absolutely NO hot water. Bathroom rug was so dirty, shower was also dirty >.< Odor: they really tried to mass the previous odor with a lot of febreeze. We choked on the fragrance upon walking in. AC: it was spitting out tiny specs of dirt onto the bed, as the bed is placed very close to it.
