Nice staff and clean hotel

Learning I had to pay 200 bucks to valet my vehicle and there was no other option for parking is ridiculous. At least post it on the website so people know what to expect. The fridge was not cold and after having someone look at it they said it was fine but it wasn't. The bathroom fan also didn't work so the bathroom was pretty stuffy.

The convenient location.

The bar closed relatively early on the evening I planning on visiting it.

The location was great. It was in the opposite of a metro station and a couple of blocks from the White house and other great sight seeings. The staff is friendly.

The toilet was malfunctioning and after fixing it was broken again. I had to ask ~ five times to fix it, but it never got fixed. For the price I paid, I did not had a fully relaxing stay. Also the view (on other rooms) from the 12th was not so good.

Locatie, goede douche.

We zaten wel aan de straatkant en dat was erg lawaaiig. Ook kwam er elke avond een aantal auto’s langs met nadrukkelijk veel kabaal makende motoren/intimiderend voorbij. Twee van die auto’s negeerden het zebrapad en reed bijna mensen omver. Dit herhaalde zich elke avond. Voeg daar de luidruchtige airconditioning aan toe en je hebt een perfecte reden om niet tevreden te zijn.

The location was walking distance from the White House and other monuments.

The pillow cases were not cleaned very well, there was what looked like makeup stains and hotel bar closed early. Also… nothing to do with the hotel but I booked through booking.com which stated breakfast was included but it’s not. On the hotel’s actual website it says breakfast available for a fee, so beware if you’re not booking directly through the website.

Al llegar desconocían nuestra reserva, ya que habíamos hecho cambios aprobados por ellos el día anterior. Perdimos aprox 20 minutos en el registro. Solo estuvimos una noche, en la que por trabajos externos al hotel, no había agua de 10 pm a 6 am (se extendió más allá de las 8:30am, hora de nuestro check out). No se nos dio aviso alguno, solo había un papel en recepción y ellos lo sabían desde 4 días antes (podrían habernos avisado y nos íbamos a otro hotel, ya que afectó completamente nuestro viaje). El hotel no ofreció agua de cortesía para lavado de manos, dientes u otro, mientras duraba el corte, solo se excusaban que no era culpa de ellos. Solo Michelle durante el check out nos ayudó y nos dio botellas de agua y nos pidió disculpas por todo los problemas, además de modificar el precio de nuestra reserva. En la habitación a pesar de haber apagado el aire acondicionado, el ruido era infernal. No hicimos reclamos porque solo estaríamos una noche y haríamos check in temprano. Además, afuera habían otras máquinas que emitían ruido. Nos dieron la habitación junto a los ascensores, por suerte no habían más personas en el piso y no sentimos ruidos. Para el desayuno, incluido en mi reserva, me pidieron firmar la cuenta para cargarla a la habitación, a pesar de que entregamos el voucher que nos dio el hotel. Les informé que no firmaría, debido a los comentarios que vi en internet y me dijeron que tenía que firmar porque así funcionaba. Finalmente les escribí “0” para que no pudiesen cobrarme adicional. This was a great location to use when visiting DC. The entrance to the Metro was just across the street from the hotel. It is just a three block walk to the Whitehouse. There are several good restaurants within two blocks. I would give the hotel breakfast a good rating, but not outstanding for the price. The dinners at the hotel restaurant were of good quality and a reasonable price. We booked a suite with King bed. The second room (#217) was very quiet (see issue in dislike about first room) and we enjoyed having the extra room. The majority of the staff were friendly and helpful when we had questions.

The first night of our stay we were given a suite (201) that was two floors above several large exhaust fans that operated continuously 24 hours a day. Being in the room sounded like flying in a regional twin turboprop airplane. It looked like all the suites at that end of the building (x01) would have the same problem as this end of the building was enclosed on all sides by other buildings, the only place for the noise to go was up. Also if you wanted to know the weather from in the room, you had to get low in the window to look up through the column of buildings to see any sky. Some of the front lobby staff could have been a little friendly and helpful, it seemed at times that we were disturbing them from doing something else.

We brought two WWII veterans down from NY for an event in DC. The guests and staff were very thrilled to see them and talk to them. It made an even more wonderful experience for them to stay in a wonderful environment.
