The quiet and peaceful environment
Several things listed online were not available. The pool and spa pumps were not working properly. The food at diamonds edge was pitiful at best, my wife didn’t even get to eat. Her steak came out wrong twice. The bathroom at the pool had no door knob. The alacarte breakfast menu was not available. The coffee was cold. The staff at diamonds edge were rude as well when we spoke about the experience. That place is honestly a joke and the chef has to be the worst I’ve ever experienced.

location
short staffed. the window in the room only had blockout curtains so it was either pitch dark or people could see directly into our room.

Island fall retreat. No cars Ferry. Ride 30 min out of Portland. Stunnning views all around
Beautiful island with roads to walk, five small public beaches
The inn is within historic Fort McKinnley. Very well done updates.
Most everything closed. Sept 26, for winter season. (I should have double checked)
Cafe/restraunt in hotel was excellent but menu selection is limited. So if staying for a week, you will want To hop back over to portland proper to
have some meals.
Portland is a. Huge foodie scene, so great selections.
Ferry is inexpensive and lovely.
I did also take the waterferry back to main land as I had to get back in town on the weekend.off ferry hours
Fogg Taxi was 65 dollars one way, but it was lovely meeting the driver and being closer to the.water and see the seals and wildlife.

The rooms were impeccable. Location is really cool.
Not the properties fault but it was the end of the season and some of the restaurants are closed

The location - arriving by boat and leaving by boat is such a magical way to start a vacation
the pool - kids loved it.
we got lucky and got amazing weather
there are only three options for food on the island. one of the restaurants is closed Monday/Tuesday. So, the hotel menu - while good - gets a bit boring after a few nights. my advice is that if you stay more than a few nights, book a room with a kitchen and bring some food with you.

Can't beat the location
Direct TV didn't work (fortunately I wasn't there to watch television). And the mini split stopped working between 1:00am - 7:00am; I expected better for the price of the room.

Breakfast was good, server was friendly, staff was attentive. The Location was incredible; children ages 6 down to 1 were able to be wonder ahead worry free.
The amount of food options weren't ideal however this is an island so there are some concessions that need to be made by guests. We were only there for 1 night so this didn't have an impact on us.

Beautiful room and facilities! We were picked up at the ferry (they called us to find out which ferry we were taking). The staff were great and the food was amazing.

super clean building and friendly staff.
they started the fire at night.
free bikes to tour the island
maps provided
staff went above and beyond they were so friendly and helpful
very quiet place
the king suite bedroom was located downstairs so you didnt get any view from the room and it felt cold like a basement.
the pool bar was not open

Friendly, attentive staff, good food, great room, great location.
Staff was a little thin, but it was early in the season.

Staff was great! Room was exceptional!
Jacuzzi wasn't working and pool was dirty.
7.0
Beautiful location, large suite with hardwood floors and nice furniture.
Covid was their excuse to leave hot tub empty, end housekeeping (and charge for request), and offer minimal food — yet no one wore masks, even staff, despite state recommendations and rising risk in Maine. Lame!

Inn at Diamond Cove was the perfect romantic vacation away from the kids - though I can also see bringing our kids with us next time as it has great amenities for a relaxing family vacation. The rooms were fabulous, staff friendly, beautiful private beaches and two nice dining options on the island. We were looking for quiet downtime with good food and nice amenities and that was delivered. Will be recommending to friends.
There were less amenities for dining and service than what is normally available, due to COVID-19, but the staff did a good job communicating and setting expectations in advance via email and phone. And, they offered alternatives, we were very pleased with our stay.

I love that you are on a secluded island in the middle of the Northern Atlantic. If that's not a romantic getaway idea, I don't know what is! If you go here, it is to get away from the city and understand phone service is not very good, but you shouldn't care. Something magical on those set of islands you can't put into words the beauty. Definitely not a surprise Litratiray greats such as Henry Longfellow wrote some of his most accomplished works there. Everyone is very nice; on top of that, I was having a hard time with my allergies, and a patron on the island-only convent store drove home and got me some Benadryl. :-) The Inn, its self, is very inviting; you have a nice porch to hang out with guests. Just relax and take it all in. I would suggest anyone looking to refresh and get recharge to do it.

Very quiet and clean with no vehicles perfect for just a few days away. And the fire pit at night was beautiful.
If there was only a little more of a food selection and a vegan selection that would have been perfect.
7.0
Room was large, ceilings were tall, excellent mattress, king size bed and good light blocking meant very good sleep. Decent pool and tennis courts. Restaurants on the premises.
Breakfast was pretty lame, given the price of the room. It was Starbucks coffee and food and you had to pay extra for it. Given the expense of the room, it should have been included.
6.0
Room was tasteful and clean. Could use some more light. Cleaning service was limited, a swiffer, and paper towels would have been helpful
Food options were limited. Restaurant was adequate but over priced
Grab and go breakfast was awful.

Tranquil setting, beautiful island.
Bring food! Hard to get dinner reservations. Limited selection and expensive.

If only there were bikes provided or a golf cart, that would have made it perfect. We had a wonderful stay. We do plan on returning and look forward to seeing the staff again.
Because of covid, some things weren’t available- through no fault of anyone.

Staff was excellent and very attentive. Rooms were very nice. Large sitting area with Kitchen and balcony. Island / resort is very well maintained and ver tranquil.
Everything on the island is closed Monday and Tuesday. You need to bring food because the hotel food options are very limited. Not a beach island - beaches were very small and rocky. Hotel did not provide beach towels - pool towels were very small.

There was no breakfast
No food at all
We had to go back to Portland on the ferry to get something to eat.
We were told there was a restaurant there but upon arrival we were told it was closed Monday and Tuesday
We read that kayaks and bikes would be available
None were
We were told that we would be met at the ferry with golf cart. And be provided a tour of the island
We got a lift from one of the residence
A lot of little annoying things along the way
Even had to pay for coffee in the morning
$500 maybe you should provide at least ☕

Bellboys on golf carts at tImes hard to find, we Lamont’s missed one ferry because they took other people down first and were slow coming back, no one to pick people up if you get in late on a water taxi especially when raining hard. Our bedroom tv didn’t work for 4 days which i reported to the front desk and had to be swapped out twice and then replace the cable system finally on the next to last day, no one answers at the front desk it just goes to voicemail including when you are staying there and just want the front desk, it goes to voicemail and says leave a message and we will get back to you with in 48 hours. they should have somewhat better better selection for breakfast or lunch instead of all the to go sandwiches despite just reopening recently and Covid concerns in my opinion. I’m not used to not having my room cleaned daily after all this isn’t a Bed and Breakfast but a hotel. One night someone pulled up late in the evening in a pickup truck jumped out and said “where’s the emergency?” Which we didn’t know anything about. He said he had received a call there was an emergency but didn’t know anymore details, Sid he called the hotel but no one answered and front door was locked and he asked us to let him in the main door.

Loved this property and the island.
The hotel controls the room temp. We asked to lower temp 3 times, 3 different ppl, and no one did. Had to leave bathroom fan on because it was humid and hot downstairs(bedroom and bathroom were in lower level, family rm and kitchenette were on main floor.
