Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff was friendly. And we were impressed with the outdoor rubber tree, wow! We felt that we got a lot of value for the price.
One of the rooms we were assigned (we had 3) wasn't made up by the maids. But the check-in clerk quickly assigned us another room with a free upgrade.

The location is extremely convenient, five minutes from the university/downtown by car. Loved the wild courtyard.
The place is extremely dated and kind of falling apart at the edges. Booked a King Deluxe, got a room with a view of a wall. Room had a dank, uncomfortable feel about it. Everything was kind of crooked and falling apart. Dead bug inside the bathroom light. TV reception was absolutely terrible. Sad looking continental breakfast that we decided to skip even though it was complimentary.
