What I liked most was the great location. The property had a wonderfully quirky, homely character and felt pleasantly quiet, with only a small number of guests around. I also appreciated that the owner responded to my complaints about the shared bathroom being dirty and the shower drain being clogged with long hair.
The only issue on this occasion was the shared bathroom. I do not normally mind sharing a bathroom, but another guest left it very untidy and in quite a mess, so I decided not to shower on my first night. However, the owner came to clean it himself, as he’s cleaner was somehow not available and the situation was sorted by the following day. I appreciated that very much.

Very cool interior design, laid back and calm. A lot of love gas been put into the furniture.
Riccardo who manages the Property was very warm ,funny and made us feel very comfortable!

Ricardo is a good guy and recommend him as a host 100%. He is always there to answer your question and is helpful. You can also rent bikes through him.
I wouldn’t recommend the accommodation because for a private room you don’t have privacy at all. a hostel is on the opposite side and you can hear them almost all the time so it feels like you are staying in that hostel. The window is very thin and next to the window is hammock which everyone can used so the owner and other guests sometimes chilling there and can hear everything from your room.
The kitchen is clean because the owner also lives there. The location is close to the beach and to every supermarket.
I had better accommodations in ipanema for a cheaper price.
Because of the owner and the location I would not give a bad review but I would not stay there again.
