The hotel is in a great location, with a beautiful view of a historic street and within easy reach of the railway and coach stations. There are plenty of restaurants and bars in the vicinity, as well as shops and the entrance to the Old Town nearby. The hotel staff are very friendly and professional, and speak excellent English. The hotel itself was clean, and the rooms were spacious enough. The air conditioning worked perfectly, providing welcome relief on hot summer days. The luggage storage facility is a definite plus.
Overall, I’d say my stay was very enjoyable. However, the hotel is housed in an old building, which means you can hear everything through the walls and ceiling, and draughts cause the closed doors to slam quite hard against their frames, creating an unpleasant noise. For those sensitive to noise, this may be an unpleasant experience.
The biggest disappointment, however, is the bath – the photos showed a bath in the bathroom, which was the reason we chose this accommodation. It turned out, however, that the bath didn’t come with a plug, and at reception we were told that, for water-saving reasons, you can only have a shower in the bath, which seems a bit ridiculous and misleading :D

I really appreciated that hotel Ambassadeurs staff were very accommodating. I found the hotel very relaxed and welcoming. Room was spotless clean, and prepared every day. Air conditioning great bonus in summer conditions. Audrey and staff very understanding, I appreciated their hospitality and joyful spirit.
I think guests should be allowed bring their room key with them, when they leave the hotel. I felt it was a bit of hassle handing in the room key every time I left the building. It felt a bit infantizing. So I think the hotel should address this, and trust that the guests wont loose the keys.

Rooms were comfy and really nice, good space and really clean, was perfect to rest. It was just next to the train station, so easy to move around and to go downtown.
The only minor issue is that there's a bar on the corner so sometimes the sounds from the party can be heard, but not really bad, we were able to sleep anyways.
