Our Little Ranch Retreat
About this house rental
Our Little Ranch Retreat We invite you to stay at our warm and welcoming little ranch retreat. Our home has travertine tile and hardwood flooring throughout. Antique items decorate most every room. Our home comfortably sleeps 6 to 8 guests. We have 3 spacious bedrooms with ample pillows, down comforters and extra blankets for each bed. In addition to the large beds, there are also a queen-sized pull out sofa bed and twin-sized rollaway bed. There are 2 full baths equipped with thick absorbent towels and basic toiletries. The master bath has a large custom built shower and a separate roomy jetted tub. The other bath features a claw foot tub with a one of a kind overhead shower. In the main room you can sink yourself into the over-sized leather couch, love seat or chair for watching television, socializing or to simply relax at the end of the day’s adventure. The den has a comfortable place to sit and enjoy our small library of horse related reading material. There are many board games and toys to entertain all ages as well. Our fully stocked kitchen has everything you need. Bring your groceries for preparing simple snacks to cooking gourmet meals. The kitchen and dining area are open to each other making it a perfect place for family and friends to gather. Our horse, Rain, is located on the property. She is an absolute plus. Rain is eager to take carrots from you and to make you smile. We have staggering sunrises and sunsets most everyday. Stars appear in numbers beyond belief in the crisp clear night air as the Grand Canyon area has some of the darkest skies in the world. It’s always fun to roast marshmallows while sitting around the fire ring located outside and taking in the unobstructed mountain views. Relax under the large 700 square foot patio / awning which is equipped with a barbeque grill. Our little retreat is peacefully secluded from the hustle and bustle yet it is conveniently located about 30 minutes from the south rim entrance to the Grand Canyon. Enjoy the amazing Grand Canyon at the viewpoints of the rim. Hike a trail, take a river trip or view the wonderment of her beauty by air tour. We are also located about 30 minutes from the historic City of Williams where you can shop its unique stores and visit local attractions such as Bearizona. Come visit us for your vacation or getaway. A positive guest experience is truly a passion of ours so we know you will certainly enjoy your stay.

It was the perfect place for our family to recharge after some long days exploring and hiking in the area. Max was an amazing host who thought of everything we might need for our stay, including treats for her horse.

My family stayed here in between hikes and adventures in the Grand Canyon, it was excellent. We hope to return someday!

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to the Grand Canyon. Everything about this place was perfect for our family of 6. Highly recommend!

"Our Little Ranch" was just that. Max was always attentive as a host. The stay while we hiked the Grand Canyon had everything you could need. Comfortable, homey, and the horses! Red and Rain were the stars! Loved every minute.

We had a wonderful time here. From the moment we walked in we were surrounded by a warm and cozy ambiance. My kids loved the rooms and the decor. There was games, darts, movies and snacks available to us. It was wonderful to be there as a family. The sunsets were spectacular and the sweet horses were friendly and kind. They loved those carrots. We came to see the Grand Canyon and this was the perfect spot to stay. Would definitely recommend.

We loved staying here. Its on a beautiful piece of land that is close enough that getting to the south rim is easy, but far enough that you get to enjoy the piece and solitude away from the crowds. Getting to feed the horses and watch the beautiful sunsets at the ranch was the perfect end to our days out doing activities. I highly highly recommend this place, it totally exceeded me and my families' expectations.

We had a pleasant stay. Very comfortable for our family of six. The kids enjoyed feeding the sweet horses. Our dog loved running around the big yard. The house had everything we could need including the charm of a working ranch house. Location is very convenient to the Grand Canyon park and to the quaint town of Williams. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

This location is halfway between Williams and Grand Canyon. Not close to services but that was fine with us. Spacious and comfortable. The house served us well for enjoying the park and still having a place to relax and eat homemade food.

The house was very well stocked with all our needs. The location to the Grand Canyon as well as Williams was perfect. We had an awesome time and would highly recommend this home to all our friends and family.

We loved coming back from the Grand Canyon each day to relax in a super cozy, incredibly charming home. Our kids (10 and 13) loved feeding the horses each day. I was worried that with all the driving we were doing through your two week vacation that we wouldn’t want to drive back and forth to GC each day. But it was a quick, direct drive into the park and we thought this home was totally worth the drive. Highly recommend.

Great little ranch about 30 min from Williams. House had everything we needed. The stars are amazing and the horses were super sweet. We especially liked the wood burning stove! So nice to come back from a day of exploring to cozy up next to the fire! There are some great toys and games for the kids too! Definitely recommend visiting Bearizona and taking the Grand Canyon Train out of Williams to see the South Rim-Spectacular!

Perfect location for a short visit to the Grand Canyon and Sedona. It was easy 40 minute drive to the Grand Canyon visitor center and about 1.5 hours to Sedona.
The house was extremely accommodating, comfortable, and well stocked. The mountain views to East were amazing at sunrise. Highly recommend this place for any family that appreciates vacationing away from all of the craziness of overpriced tourist areas.

We wanted to stay as close as possible to the Grand Canyon without actually staying in the park - and we wanted something more than a hotel room. This property really delivered! The ranch had everything we needed. Our kids loved visiting the horses and feeding them treats. There was plenty of space for our family of 4 and we were very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed and being able to do laundry after a day of hiking was a huge plus! The sunrise views from the back of the house were stunning. Getting to/from GCNP was very easy. The home is very remote, so I definitely recommend stocking up on supplies/groceries in Flagstaff if you’re coming up from Phoenix.
We were very happy with our stay and grateful for the memories we created there.

So well stocked and with so many amenities it feels just like home. Location worked well for us being just about halfway between the Grand Canyon and Williams. Max couldn't have been nicer.

very comfortable and well-stocked house; made a good base for trip to Grand Canyon. Only recommendations would be maybe an upgrade to the mattress on the pullout sofa in the den and a patio/deck on the back of the house so you could sit outside facing the peaks and view without getting "stickers".

They home had everything we needed as a family of 6! The kids especially loved the sweet horses. We really enjoyed our stay and the proximity to the Grand Canyon!

Our stay couldn’t have been more perfect. The close proximity to the Grand Canyon allowed us to maximize our time in the park. The house had everything you could need. Our favorite part was petting the horses and stargazing. We’ll definitely be recommending this property to others. Thank you Max for being so accommodating!
Until next time!

Lovely property with everything and more than you would need. Perfect fire pit area to enjoy stargazing and a campfire. Really friendly horses that love your attention. Beautiful tiled master bath and an amazing claw foot tub in the other bathroom. Really comfortable . You will have a great time staying here!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was perfect and the owners thought of every detail to make our stay comfortable. The front porch lured us both early morning and evening and was great for catching up with family. We visited the Grand Canyon and so this house was just a short 30 miles from the Grand Canyon entrance and 30 miles from Williams. Oh, yes the horses were a nice touch to the property! I would highly recommend this house to those that want to relax at the end of busy day of sightseeing.

Between Williams and the Grand Canyon, this place feels like home. We loved the size, the kitchen (especially the stove/range), the games, everything. Our kids loved feeding the horses every morning and telling them goodnight each evening. The sky is huge here, it never ends. We saw about a million starts and the Milky Way was amazing! Loved this place!

Wonderful
Perfect place for a stay. We were there to visit the Grand Canyon. However, you could have spent much more time in and outside of the house.
A lovely place where you can see the hosts did different things so that you can enjoy your stay.

A perfect experience
Cannot say enough about how brilliant our stay was here. The home was clean, private, and better stocked than any place I’ve previously stayed. Great location as a home base for exploring GCNP. Wonderful communication with the host, whom we are so grateful to have met and chatted with. Feeding the horses is the cherry on top for this place. Our dogs also couldn’t have had a better time. Thank you for such a wonderful stay - highly recommend!!

Peaceful and within an hour of South Rim trails
My extended family stayed for 6 nights. We all call rural areas home so we were looking for a simple place to rest where traffic noise wouldn’t keep us up and the kids could play in the yard. This place was as peaceful as home and had all the necessary comforts. It took about 45 minutes to get to the South Rim Visitor Center from there. The hostess was personable and helpful. This retreat is way off the beaten path so pick up groceries and get fuel in Flagstaff before you come!

This place is terrific! It is spacious and well-appointed, and it has a lot of personality. It's a little over half an hour from the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park, and this allowed those who had had enough of hiking to return early on some days. The house was comfortable, and we had fun feeding the horses and hanging out on the porch. Our kids loved the dart board and the other toys. A great place for a family to stay!!

We loved our stay at the ranch. The home had generous amounts of space, beds were great, all of the accommodations were perfect for our very tired family of 5. We had room to spread out and rest well. Ranch owners are so easy to communicate with and my daughter loved feeding the horses with the snacks the owners left. The horses are very friendly and this was a special touch to our visit. Location is about 30 minutes south of the South Rim Entrance to the Grand Canyon. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the location away from the masses of people at the South Rim. It is an easy drive. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Quiet but convenient retreat!
My mom had always wanted to see the Grand Canyon, so my sister and I took her for a belated birthday present. We loved this quiet ranch as a getaway between trips to the park! Perfect distance between the park itself and the conveniences of Williams. My favorite thing was the starry nighttime sky.

Great place for young families!
My husband and two sons (6/4) stayed here as a base for us to visit the Grand Canyon. It was awesome. We felt like real ranchers out in the fields and feeding the horses. The house has so many interesting old toys and things which my kids were very entertained by, and it has literally everything you could need - from pancake mix to tea and coffee to laundry soap. It also was a "quick" (for all the way out there) trip to the Grand Canyon - we did the drive twice a day. The place really sets you up well to have a nice quiet place to come back to. Comfy beds, peace and quiet, horses to feed...Highly recommend.
