Great room, cozy bed, everything immaculately clean and in good condition. The room had a view over the downtown that we both enjoyed. Staff were friendly, responsive and accommodating, and the services were comprehensive.
The breakfast was merely OK. The bacon was oily and the eggs were dry to the point of being powdery. My favorite part was the vanilla yogurt and fruit salad, which were fine. I had breakfast there exactly once during our stay.

Staff was welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was good. Location is excellent.
It's a little pricey. I think the location makes that reasonable. It maybe feels slightly dated. Very nice rooms and bathrooms - maybe the carpet seemed old. I can't put my finger on it. Something small makes it feel like an 8 when it's almost a 10. Sorry I can't be more specific. The cost is a tad prohibitive from us staying there regularly (We come to Iowa City 4-5 times a year). But I do understand the cost based on the location.

Everything was generally OK The breakfast was especially good.
Charge for dog was $100 way more than other places I've stayed...max has been $75.
The situation with parking was annoying --
Unfortnately, I did not have a good experience with my arrival. It appeared that the desk clerk had a routine list of items she had to go through in order ...several times when I asked questions, the response was "I'm getting to that....." Understandable at one level, but I also acknowledge I was unnecessarily rude to Nicole as I would have appreciated more flexible responsiveness. I do sincerely apologize to her.
