If you’re a privileged, entitled traveler (like most reviewers here) accustomed to western/european hotels then just stay in Vĩnh with the other tourists. If you want an authentic Vietnamese experience come stay at Dong Loan.

Such a warm hearted and welcoming family
They invited us to dinner with them, had a great talk at a campfire and all in all were great hosts

Only two small towels provided. No bedsheet on the bed cover (?). Toothpaste that was already used…? First room that we got smelled like some chemicals so we asked for a different room. In the evening I was told by some old lady to leave the common area and go to the room (?)
