We had a perfect stay here. The hostess Tuoi (not sure if I’ve spelt her name correctly!) is a lovely and kind person who we really enjoyed talking to when we had the chance. The rooms are clean and have everything you need, with beautiful views. The breakfast is fresh and cooked to order. I would highly recommend having dinner here too because the food is absolutely delicious. We also went on a trekking tour with local guide Mimi who is lovely and we had such a memorable day with her. We hope to return 😊

This was the highlight of our two weeks in Vietnam and our favourite stay of the whole trip. We arrived early in the morning off the night train from Hanoi and were welcomed straight away, even though it was hours before check-in. Our suitcases made the last stretch strapped to the back of a scooter, which set the tone perfectly.
Our host's cooking was some of the best food we had in Vietnam. Our breakfast choice was bánh mì and Vietnamese drip coffee at a table she set up outside for us, looking straight onto the rice terraces, which were turning gold for the harvest while we were there. On our first evening we sat with her and her two daughters and learned about their life in the village. It felt like being welcomed into a family rather than checking into a room.
Tả Van is quiet and green, about 20 minutes from Sa Pa town, so you get real village life with the town close by when you need it.

Very quiet with a great view. The owner organised all the activities I requested including trekking with a local guide, Mimi, who was wonderful. Great homemade food as well!
